Spanking

Touted about how resilient we have become. I would certainly agree we have improved at the back with the Kos, Mustafi partnership.

I have to be realistic we have also been very lucky indeed and i cant help feeling that under the current circumstances we are heading for a spanking like we got away from home at Southampton last year.

Wenger needs to shake the formation up somewhat IMO.

The game against Southampton was a bit of a freak result. We went in on a 3 match winning run, including an impressive 2-1 win over City the game before.
It was over the busy Xmas period and we were rotten on the day.
These sort of things can happen- the reserve RB hit a stunner, every shot they had went in. It was just one of those days.

It could happen again this season, but the signs aren't there. Unbeaten in all comps since the first game defeat - and we have had some tough games in there

Yeah DJ, didn't we field Flamini that day? The defensive cover this season is a hell of a lot stronger, it's going the other way that we've been having our struggles recently.

Saints game may have looked like a spanking but i think at least 3 goals should not have stood.

1 goals was clearly offside and the 2nd which put the game out of reach was probably the clearest foul u will ever see on a CB.

Good to have a sensible poster back

Form (good or bad) is temporary so we are just as likely to give someone else a hefty beating than receive one ourselves. Bournemouth without Jack are there for the taking.

Atm we are playing without our most influential midfielder in Santi and without both of our usual first choice full backs in Bellerin and Monreal. Add to that we had GIroud as our main striker last night and we are a shadow of our best team.

Bellerin and a knackered Sanchez are an important part of our attacking play without whom we struggle.

Bit harsh on Giroud though

Need to drop Iwobi for a few games and stick in Ox
