.. We've now got Karius' goal kick
I don't know how well this is being reported as I'm just heading home from the game but Karius somehow, incredibly hit the ball out for a Sunderland corner from, wait for it ... a goal kick
Made up to win the game and I can look back on that incident and laugh but that has to be a football first.
Enjoy your evening lads
Forget Aspas' Corner

To be fair I didn't see the game today but as I've said previously Migs panics when under pressure but Karius causes panic when there's nothing going on like today's incident

Keepers don't catch anything any more.
Not a problem as long as they punch well.

Reina favoured the punch. So long as the ball doesn't end up in the net, the keepers done his job at the end of the day.
Plus, I'd rather have Karius punch and Firmino or Mane pick up the loose ball and break, than Mig catch the ball then run side to side in his penalty are for 15 seconds before kicking into touch.

It's not nonsense.
Keepers do very little attempted catching these days compared to the what we are used to in the U.K.
You just have to watch football to know this.

Good keepers catch when needed and only punch when needed ie under pressure or when a spillage would be costly. Obviously pace and trajectory comes into it too
To say 'Keepers don't catch anything any more.' is nonsense
You just have to watch football to know this <wink>

Can't argue with a cleansheet.

I remember Kieran Richardson playing for Sunderland v Man United at Old Trafford with an attacking free kick on the left wing. He booted it out for a United throw on the left - yes, not even in the direction of the goal. Typical ex-United player, don't want to play well agains their old club. When I posted this incident on the United board I just go told to go away.
