Why?
Did we just tire or lose conviction in our play? The pressing and energy that had been missing since the Man City game was back for about 50 mins, then it stopped.
No snap in our passing or decision-making for most of the second half, Dembele being the culprit for the second goal after dwadling on the ball. Barely had an effort on target in the second half and never looked like scoring a goal, which made taking off Dele and leaving on Dembele quite baffling. Forgive me for being harsh but I didn't suspect we'd turn the game around judging by the lack of quality we had available on the bench.
It looked as though we had a cup game vs some lower league team and had given players the weekend off.
All this unbeaten run crap can now finally stop. Nothing to brag about in the first place considering we'd drawn half of those games, it's still 24 points from 13 games which isn't great considering who we've played.
Almost December, time we woke the fack up.
Good first half.... ponderous second half..

To be honest thought spurs did ok first half, pressed high up the pitch an had chelsea panicking at the back.
The difference between spurs n liverpool, is i think we are better on the ball an have more options when we attack.
You seem to rely heavily on individuals yo create, instead of using movement!
Also Ali? What happen to him, hes been poor for a few games now, and seems he has stopped making late runs from midfield which helps break through the lines at the back.
You will probabley finish above utd anyway which will maje me happy 👍🏻

European game midweek takes its toll. I really thought you were going to hit form yesterday then you didn't. Best thing Spurs could do is get eliminated from the Europa as quickly as possible.

7 points behind Chelsea now. Might even be too late to go out of the Europa early and for it to make a difference.

You're right. I don't think we made any efforts to try and push on this summer in terms of transfers, just decided to settle for padding out the squad for the sake of doing so. Squad isn't good enough to compete in both Europe and the league

Biggest problem is we cannot compete with some clubs in terms of wages etc. Look at Batshuayi for instance, was ours until Chelsea stepped in with wages of over 100k a week and he can't even get into the team

Well we need to loosen the purse strings then. Highly unrealistic to expect us to compete at the top whilst restricting ourselves to signing average and inexperienced players.

We're not the only club that's not living up to expectations.
Just look at ManU!
Big buys like Pogba and Mkhitaryan
and .... Jose's kicking bottles around ....
at least Poch doesn't do that!

How they're doing has no bearing on our scouting and transfer policy
