Do people assume Hugo will be off to PSG purely because he's French? They always seem to be the mandated rumoured club for him for some reason....

I say somewhere like PSG, its just a catch-all for me Ledders. Could be anywhere that can afford £150 grand a week and plays in the CL. I imagine he is desperate to collect a few medals between now and his 35th birthday so PSG would make sense. Obviously would like him to stay, if only to see his bloody distribution improve but I wouldn't bet on it.

Him staying or his distribution improving that is...

Lamela definitely isn't our weakest player of the starting eleven and you mention that the players aren't inferior but it's the attitude and desire which has been lacking but thats exactly what Lamela offers, every single game.

I agree.....his attitude is good but I don't see him as a game changer/winner. Other than Everton (opening day) and some Europa leagues last year I cant remember many MOTM performances. I still think he gets a pass because he was so bad when he started. I'm not a hater I just don't think he's that good

Put it this way... Rose & walker re far more important to us in creating chances for us from wide positions.... Granted that's because of the formation, but because Erik is so one footed its part of the reason our play is so narrow, he loses position to easily and sometimes creates too much congestion with Eriksen/Dele playing in the number 10 role. Its why he plays better away from home when we can play on the break/ in more space & not at home vs teams who park the bus (of which there are many)

I'm in the 'Lamela is one of our better players camp'. I think we are missing him more than people realise.
For me the first names on the team sheet;
Toby
Kane
Lamela

I don't want Lloris to go at all but assuming we don't qualify for the CL I'll understand why. As long as he doesn't join those s in Madrid I'd let him off.
There are good keepers around Europe, ironically PSG have a couple of them.

Kane, Toby, Wanyama, Hugo, Rose, Walker, Jan, Dele, Dembele/ Dier, Eriksen, Lamela..... In that order

depends who we play as to who is first on the teamsheet.
any big game away from home and Dembele is first on the sheet.
whereas I probably wouldn't even play him tomorrow in a game that we will dominate the midfield battle and the ball in.

Toby, Kane, Walker & Rose are the ones I look out for most.
The rest have comparable replacements well maybe Dembele doesn't but he's not great ATM anyway

Great news for Spurs that to be fair. I thought they may struggle to keep him long term and he seems like the type of CB one of the mega clubs would like in their team, warns them off a bit longer a tleast.
