Strong rumours

At Blackstars request I share this strong rumour.
From a good source, inside the club but not arro's dad.

CR was given 6 games to turn it around.
He now has 4 left

Now currently I would say that's a bit unfair.
But if we lose the next 4, or get very few points, this decision by the
owners, could prove to be our salvation.

What do you think.

I'm not sure whether I believe this or not. They certainly gave Pearson more time than this, but then performances were never this bad under Pearson. However, Pearson has never won the Premier League...

Schmeichel and Drinkwater being missing is having more of an influence than it should, but the team hasn't been good all season except for probably the win at home to Porto, and it's getting worse. Certainly I'd say that current performances have us on a road to relegation. Whether the owners would take action before then, I'm not sure. It would certainly be a sad and ignominious end to his time here.

All that said, the owners did ask Ranieri to potentially stay beyond relegation when they hired him, and this whole 6 Matches story is very "Football Manager".

Oh and incidentally, as much as I admired Pearson in his time here, he's now toxic and there's no way he could or should ever return.

I don't believe a word of it to be honest, certainly doesn't fit with the owners style so far.

If there is any truth in it then we are in a very precarious situation, worse even than going down with Ranieri in situ, why, well then we could become embroiled in a roundabout of different Managers and lets face it, there are more Defensive midfielders out there than decent Managers!

TB - The only thing in it is just how bad and gutless the performances have been of late. But even so it would be a shock.

The only surprise of this story for me is that it's taken this long to come out. I've never been an advocate for 'bring them then sling them" but if these owners are intent on keeping this club in the top flight I reckon Ranieri will be gone by early New Year, certainly at this rate.

This time last year 15th would have been acceptable for Leicester. Shocking how many of their fans have turned on the greatest manager in their history. Pathetic and shameful really.

There is no way the board will get rid of CR unless we are actually relegated in May. The goal at the start of the season was PL survival ( no demand of top 10 etc) and to concentrate on trying to qualify from the CL group.
We have achieved this and as long as we finish 17th or above then we have achieved the goals for this season.
That's the nuts and bolts of it, the owners love CR and work well with him so I think this story of 6 games to save himself is just headline grabbing nonsense.

The owners won't wait until relegation is confirmed for the simple reason that there is ALOT of money at stake here. They may love CR but they are also businessmen and dropping to the PL has a massive effect on revenue for the club. Then factor in the players on huge wages that could sit out contracts if they wanted to....

It's a risk they won't want to take and while CR will be afforded time to turn it around, it wont be without any conditions

Who's headline grabbing?
I was asked to post this following a source from inside the club. I would be happy to have this proved as nonsense!

I expect there will be a CRexit Poll on here at some stage.
