from our esteemed manager...................................... "From a realism point of view we need to get around 1.3 points per game to retain our Championship status, but from an ambition viewpoint I want to win the Championship.
"It's just getting the balance with what I need and what I want. Have we got the number of points I wanted at this stage - no. Are we about where we should be for the games we have played, yes."
Surely the 'realism' means sticking the ball in the back of the net more times than the opposition. As for the balance...... its not what you need or what you want...its more of what you have at your disposal to make ends meet and create a team that is able to stay in this league and be unafraid of the so called bigger clubs.

Managers should talk in riddles...waste of time being honest and stating facts cos fans on the message boards and phone ins are bona fide, 100%, football experts.

LOL. Keith Hill should be re-named "The Riddler" - and observant of you Sparty to recognize our collective expertise and knowledge I will begin to collect his quotations.

Direct off lunchtime Yahoo ........manager Keith Hill will be without at least four injured players for the home clash with Leicester.
Midfielder Goran Lovre recently sustained a knee injury ''in training''......( Jezze.....) and will be sidelined for A MONTH , while strikers Craig Davies and Reuben Noble-Lazarus and defender Miles Addison are not ready to return.
Davies (groin), Noble-Lazarus and Addison (both ankle) missed the goalless draw at Millwall before the international break.
Forward Ricardo Vaz Te (thigh) is not ready to add to his three appearances since joining the Tykes in the summer and midfielder Nathan Doyle (groin) is another of Hill's key players who has been struggling for full fitness in recent weeks.
Hill told the club's official website: "We've put in some great work on the training pitch in preparation for the Leicester game. We are looking forward to it."
Unless I'm mistaken thats 6 names not four who are crocked. It must be a pretty brutal training regime to have players out for a month just from doing a bit of intensive exercise. and a kickabout ......or is this just smokecreen talk ahead of tomorrows game?

We shall see. The national media are usually well behind in news about Barnsley - so it wouldn't surprise me if at least one of those crocked players puts in an appearance. I hope so. We are threadbare really...

Not my words Spartacus, sounds like your new boss is telling you to get back in your box? But he has a good rep so I suppose you will give him the benefit of the doubt?
