PEP DENIES SANCHEZ CONTACT

PEP DENIES SANCHEZ CONTACT

Pep Guardiola has staunchly denied claims Manchester City have made contract with Alexis Sanchez.

Reports in Chile claimed the City boss personally called the Arsenal forward after his scintillating hat-trick performance against West Ham.

Guardiola is reported to have contacted Sanchez, who he managed during his time at Barcelona, with the view to bringing him to the Etihad Stadium, a point the City boss vehemently refuted.

“Absolutely false. The journalist is a liar," Guardiola said. “Alexis Sanchez would fit in any team in the world. The journalist is a liar."

I could see the snake doing something like this too. Pep is a good manager but personally from his time at Barca i always found him an arrogant tw@t. Him and his team always trying to lure our players away.

Could this be why Sanchez is stalling in contract renewal ? or could it be the Real madrid talk that has his head turned ?

Meh. It's probably just agents trying to force our hand.

Expect a lot of shiiiiit like this to pop up over the next few months.

Pep denies tapping up a player, for which he would be punished if it is proven to be true.

What do you expect him to say, that he broke the rules?

Pep and Alexis don't get on. Neither do Cesc and Pep. They both harbour grudges for not being played enough and not having enough respect from Pep. This is why Conte started Cesc against Man City.

Sanchez had one season at Barca with Pep. Considering Villa got injured in December 2011 and missed the remainder of the season I fail to see how Sanchez didn't play enough.

lol.....you come up with strange stuff at times. Cesc and Alexis were regulars under Pep. And Conte played Cesc against City cos Matic was unavailable.

Pep was heavily critical on both. He signed them both and neither worked out for him. Pep constantly berated Cesc for a lack of positional sense. And Alexis was always injured or moved out of position. Neither were successful at Barca under Pep or others by that matter. Why do you think they were sold?

I wasn't disputing how successful they were at Barca. I was disputing the claim they held grudges for not being played enough and that was untrue as Cesc and Alexis were regulars. There was one season Fabregas played more minutes than any Barca player.

Is city really a step up??
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Haha is that a serious question?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenal are currently above city, finished above city last year and havent lost to city in almost 4 years. Please tell me in what way city can be classed as a significant step up?
