Yet again another penality given away. These days it seems like a clean sheet can't be bought because a penalty is given away. Although yesterday one was an awful decision by that baldy ref (not too add another horrible decision when Ox was through on goal after a drop ball). But Cech not coming close one penalty yet so far is a little worrying. We've had some dodgy keepers down the years but all were fairly decent at penalties, especially Almunia. Cech is much better than those but he needs to get better fast at saving them. Of course prevention is best approach but we're always bound to get done over by refs like yesterday.
I do have to say though otherwise that I really enjoy watching Arsenal this season. Previous seasons felt like a chore at times, but the fluidity is very Wengerball.
Cech and penalties

Shoot out vs Bayern is probably the perfect example of how bad he is at saving pens, diving the right direction all the time and saving only one of them

saved one during the game too

I was thinking the exact same thing.
Cech can't save penalties at all, he's useless at them.
Chelsea got KO'd two times in the CL on pens when he was there. Even the Bayern final, he only saved one from 6 (Robben in ET).
Sczcesny made some amazing penalty saves.

I'd rather GK who is poor at saving pens and pretty good at everything else. Ospina may or may not b good at saving pens but one thing for certain when he ball is played onto our bob he will not just come out and pluck the ball out of the air with ease.
Szez and almunia were good at saving pens but total liabilities at everything else. How about we stop giving away stupid pens.

Cech is a quality GK he's just garbage at pens

He has never been great at pens, but comments in this article went well beyond that specialism

What comments? One guy calling him average?

I don't think he's average but he hasn't been a major improvement on Szczesny like he was supposed to be. I get that he brings title winning experience and is probably a leader in the dressing room but on the pitch I doubt we would have seen a huge difference with Szczesny or Ospina there instead

Hasn't been a major improvement on Chesney? Is that a joke? Do you remember how terrible that guy was?
Cech is a quality player. His solidity and experience has been an asset
Sometime it seems people talk nonsense for the sake of it.

If we stopped giving away stupid pens we would have one of the best defences in the pl.

Ospina shot stopping and reflexes are as good as any keeper in the league
