Bayliss/Cook

Personally I don't think he's done anything to improve the test side.
In fact we have got worse.
Why honestly would an Aussie get motivated to help England win? apart from the money that is..
I think its time he was moved on and replaced by someone like Strauss.
It won't happen though. And the way Bayliss came out and suggested Cook would be still captain in Australia next winter makes me sick to the stomach.Stinks of protecting each other..

Cook as never been a great captain. in fact hes extremely poor. His decision making on the field is laughable.
He has all the motivating factors of a wet weekend in hull..Time he also went!.

Ps, please bring back Finn for the final test in India.. we need him falling over..or hitting the stumps or just seeing his scowling face like its the end of the world.
Anyway I will leave out mentioning Rashid as a test player.. I think its pretty obvious to everyone!.

The fact that he's an Aussie makes naff all difference. Look at Eddie Jones. He could be a terrible coach, who knows, but the Aussie part is pretty irrelevant.
I agree about Cook. He looks to have no inspiration in him, when it comes to getting the best out of his team.

I just think Bayliss has less personality than a sodding hedgehog.Maybe he doesn't bother that hes an Aussie in charge of England. But its always good to blame the aussies for something.

Rashid is the best you have. It's not easy for any spinner to play against batsman who play spin really well. He has taken wickets but in this tour it seems the pacers are getting away Scot free. Just because there is turn in the wicket does not mean you should put your feet up.

Pace bowlers throughout history have won matches in these conditions. Too much of a defeatist attitude from the pace bowlers.

unless you chuck the balls like some of these seam bowlers in the past.. Ie like Waquar when he bowled the Yorker. And like Brett Lee.. Also chucked it when he bowled the Yorker.. there is no way you can bowl a 95 mph Yorker and be accurate. You need some extention of the arm..
If you look at Ashwins action there is a slight dink.. Nothing profound like some of the spinners than have been banned lately.. But there is a little bending of the arm.
Looking at Rashid.. his leg spinner is shocking..And hes suppose to be a leg spinner..
I cant really have a go a moeen ali.. Hes done well for a part time spinner..

I really don't know where I can start.

First of all, Waqar and Brett Lee are not the only bowlers who have been successful in the sub-continent or the only bowlers to have bowled 90+ yorkers (Flintoff, Jones, even Gough in his prime could do it and none of them were chuckers).

Round arm action is not chucking.

West Indies legends, Pakistani legends and many Austalian pacers have all succeeded there.

I don't see much of a problem with Ashwin's action.

Rashid may not be shocking but I agree he should really have taken this opportunity to show he is England's premier spinner, some say he has done exactly that, I am not convinced.

Moeen Ali has done ok for 6th bowler, he should never be thought of as any more than that. He is a good batsman that can bowl some useful overs.

There is a kink every so often with Ashwins action.. Thing is hes learned only to do it every once in a while so he gets away with it.. The bowlers that have been banned extend their arm most deliveries so the icc look into their action.. But if you bowl a bent arm delivery every 10 balls..The icc don't bother.

Going back to Cook.. I hope for the first time in his life he makes the right call and steps down. He as all the personality of a dried up prune..

Mentioning Cooks captaincy compared to others.. The South African captain . declared on day 3 ,.. There is no way on earth would Cook have declared on day 3.. He would have England batting until day 4 lunch at least.
