So, it's Bayern Munich Vs. Arsenal, for the fourth time in five years, in the ECL knock-out stage. Not what we wanted, and it's getting a bit boring to be honest. I'd have like to have a different team, just for the variety, if nothing else. Mind you, there is too much negativity surrounding this draw. Arsenal thsi year can beat Bayern Munich. So, this thread is to post optimistic views and thoughts on our annual fixture Vs. Bayern. No negativity please. Here goes:
1. Arsenal finished top of the group, and they were second in theirs. We have a psychological advantage.
2. Arsenal play the second leg at home, which give us an advantage.
3. Arsenal looking strong thsi year, and Bayern are not a good as they have been in the past.
4. Yes, German beer is very nice, but London has Fullers ESB.
COYG.
Optimistic Arsenal Vs. Bayern

not an arsenal fan and don't rate them at the moment either. Bayern will pump the gunners i think despite having a few decent players.
Unless they they busy some quality in Jan and punt walcott, eleny and drop iwobi despite looking like a good player. who in the right mind would take them seriously.?????
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you ask me I come to the conclusion that you're clueless.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, he doesn't seem to know what he's talking about really. It's like he's just picked up a team sheet and said, haven't heard of him and him and Walcott is always an easy pick - I'll just say they're rubbish.

Tongue in cheek again this?

The truth is we will never convince pundits or fans of other teams that we are not the same of the last 4 or 5 years until we beat them. So it doesn't matter that we play with Alexis as the striker now and not Giroud. Proof in the pudding is in the eating. And the only way to make commentators eat their words is to beat them.

No. Sarcastic maybe. But the Ranger's chap is clearly talking nonsense - I rather thought we were on the same page with this one?

I fancy Arsenal going through actually!

Whatever the result, it'll be a good match and a chance to measure the current squad against one of the best in Europe. Isn't that kind of the whole point of the game?

The point of the game is to score more goals than the other team

the definition of madness is doing the same thing and expecting different results.
You have lost it.

You've got a better chance of beating them this season then in the previous ones. It depends on how you approach the game. Play the way you did against Chelsea and you can win. Play the way you did against United and you'll lose.

Only point 2 holds any relevance.
