Was certain we would win that tonight but still good solid performance and done our goal difference a world of good. Arsenal losing means we gained something atleast but this weekend is the important one as both City and Arsenal face each other meaning one of those will have to drop points. Not to mention Liverpool away to Everton in the derby so that's not a gimme for Liverpool either. Time to carry on from tonight and put Burnley to the sword which will set us up nicely for a Charlie Austin less Southampton away. Need 9 points over this Xmas period with 3 in the bag already. We got no chance of winning the league so I'm not even fussed about Chelsea but top 4 is still on. Burnley prediction?

I think we'll beat Burnley. With Alderweireld back, Kane back, Eriksen looking back to form, hell, even Sissoko improving, and no Europe for a while, I'm confident we'll have a good run.

Much as I'm glad we won tonight and I expect more of the same against Burnley I'm still really annoyed at the Chelsea and Utd loses. Defeat was so easily avoidable in both of those games and I hope we are not turning into flat track bullies.

Dat guy, no chance we are winning the league mate. But I'm content with that to be fair as I'll be happy with a possible long cup run ( FA cup or Europa) and top 4.

I just don't see us getting top four. I think class will tell as the season goes on conte, klopp and pep are world class managers and city are getting Gabriel Jesus the boy is special and top quality raw but utter quality.
Arsenal will do the usual have everything go there way towards the end of the season flat tracking bullying everyone but lose to the likes of us city next etc.
I think we look very average even tonight a better side takes a draw. We need a player or two to help poch bridge the gap between the world class managers and there signings. We made little effort in the summer to improve, sadly I think it is between us and united for fifth but sixth isn't the end of the world
Burnley is the real test don. They love a dour 0-0 and the game two seasons ago is the worst I have ever seen 0-0 with them. It'll be a tough game much tougher and tighter than most will think.

Gabriel Jesus as you say is an exceptional talent but its a lot asking him to make the impact that you think he will in January.
I know you're not Poch's biggest fan you gave made that clear a few times but I'm he is right up there with Klopp and Conte.
Finally sixth place would represent a poor season. City aren't nailed on for top four their world class manager can't organise a very poor defence.

Why don't you have a chance of winning the league? Chelsea are the only stand out team and surely they can't stay this consistent.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They might not be as consistent later in the year (and that's just wishful thinking) but we aren't either. For someone to overtake Chelsea it would be a seriously good run of wins whilst simultaenously a bad run of losses from them.
Tottenham for one won't go on an 8-10 win streak for example. So title is beyond us as far as im concerned. Europa league and FA Cup are the closest to a trophy we can get.
