The Star Wars VR mission became available to download free this week, which is great if you have Star Wars battlefront, as you need that game to play it.
Needless to say I had to buy the game, but managed to pick it up cheap yesterday and finally gave the Star Wars Mission a go. The first screen see's an AT-AT (I think thats what you call it) walking by in front of you, If you are a Star Wars fan that would probably be enough, but I'm not, and wanted more.
So the next scene you get a chance to look around your Xwing, ending with you in the cockpit and able to play around with a few buttons, looking behind you to see your trusty droid ready to take care of any damage, By now Star Wars fans will be wetting themselves with Joy.
It's not long before you are encouraged to hit Hyperspace and join the fleet, I wont spoil the rest of the mission, but it is quite an experience, I did feel a little motion sick by the end, nothing major but could be a problem for some.
MY mates Son heard I had the Demo and being a Star Wars fan I wasn't surprised to find him knocking on the door about 9.30 right in the middle of me watching the Apprentice, I couldn't let him down and soon he was battling oncoming Tie Fighters, motion sickness didn't affect him at all and he finished with a big smile wanting to know if there were any more missions coming, I have no idea.
He wanted a PSVR system before having tried mine, after Star Wars he was determined to get the money together for one in the new year, If you are a Star Wars fan you will love it, if not it's still quite an experience.

Just stick the god old "walkers" Amiga ..... I'll be a geek and say All Terrain Armoured Transport ... AT-AT.
Not to be confused with AT-ST: All Terain Scout Transport a two legged walker which far quicker and manouverable is far more susceptible to swinging logs!!
Man the full star wars figures and vehicle collection my old man got me for my crimbo one year was and is still hands down the greatest present I ever got

Why not both?! I grew up liking star wars myself then by default with the old fella always watching Star Trek ended up knowing that also...original, next gen, deep space 9, and most of voyager but didnt watch any of enterprise, i know there is new one due out next year but again is set pre original series which i aint too interested in to be fair
