On paper we should win this comfortably, but after the last match huge questions remain. We have to put on a proper performance, none of this "it's away so a safe draw will do".
If Bruce is true to his word, there will be changes. Could well be Tshibola and Bacuna coming in; I think both need a run in the first team, because that's the only way they'll find consistency. He could drop Hutton for Bacuna, or play Bacuna in midfield; unless Baker has recovered, the rest of the back line more or less picks itself, a pity as Elphick seems out of sorts.
I'd go for something like:
Gollini
Bacuna Elphick Chester Amavi
Adomah Jedinak Tshibola Grealish
Kodjia McCormack
or
Gollini
Hutton Elphick Chester Amavi
Adomah Jedinak Tshibola Bacuna
Grealish
Kodjia
Thoughts?
QPR v Villa

Depends on who Bruce picks.
If he (unbelievably) plays that useless lump Agbonlahor again... then it will be a QPR win.
And as for Hutton? He has to be dropped. Far too many mistakes in every game he plays.
With those two in the team, it is like playing with 9 men.
Mind you, yes, Elphick has had some howlers too....

Sounds like Agbonlahor on the bench.
But why? FFS why? Why is he there at all???

Team: Bunn Hutton Chester Baker Amavi Bacuna Jedinak Gardner Adomah Kodjia McCormack
Bench: Gollini Elphick Westwood Ayew Grealish Gestede Gabby
Nope, can't understand Gabby being there, and Tshibola and RHM nowhere in sight.
Surprised at Bunn instead of Gollini. With Baker back reckon Gollini would be OK.
Wonder if Bruce is doing his "keep it quiet until late on then hit them approach". If so, think that's a mistake. We need to hit them early or they may hit us.

0-1 to us. Deserved it, because QPR are so poor. However, think we're still work in progress. McCormack didn't do a lot, Gardner faded. Without Kodjia we would be in trouble.

Old Potato Head has got your boys flying up the league table,he'll always be a legend at Blues for getting us to 4th in the Premier League our highest position ever, even if he has lost his way a bit now and turned to the dark side!

Thought Villa looked average. Not really any better than against Norwich.
To me Bruce seems to have lost his way a bit: bringing back Flabby, playing Hutton all the time, playing players out of position, getting a bit one dimensional too....
Hopefully a bit of fresh blood in January will see you to the play offs.

Important we won today. Thought we were good in spells (i.e. the 15 minutes leading up to the goal we had a number of attempts). But there seemed to be a real lack of urgency and desire, as well as truly woeful misplaced passes at times and we were just happy to sit on our 1-0 which could have been costly against a team who aren't struggling. Not sure if that was the early ko or not but it's a concern. Thought Baker did well today and won everything in the air, and Kodjia deserved his goal as he was a threat all afternoon. Bacuna did well coming in, and thought Gardner was decent. Gabby was very useful when he came on too to be fair, but should only be used as a sub from now on. Weak links were McCormack, who was anonymous again, and Bunn is not the answer to our goalkeeping issue. As ever, Hutton tried hard but just isn't really good enough to be our first choice right back. I was disappointed not to see Tshibola given a go: think we really need a quality central midfielder in January and should go all our for James McCarthy.
Two home games now and important we win both of them. Burton struggling, Leeds doing well, but they're both games we can win.

Credit where credit's due, so well done to boys.
At least you are following the time-honoured tradition of hitting rock-bottom and pulling yourselves out by the bootstraps (however much merriment you may well have unintentionally caused us at times...(almost) sorry to say...).
Now you are on the up with a fairly decent manager and have quite a lot to look forward to...for the moment.
Ironically you most likely would have swapped with us in an instant (position, manager, prospects...ground, history, Colours...only joking about the last three) yet our owners did just that with someone who has still to prove they can hold their own in this (toughest of all) league.
I was almost glad we lost (!) so that our potential muppet owners didn't have the smug complacency they had made the change of the century (that may be a slight exaggeration).
How sad now that we now seem to be entering times that though you (the paying fan) are happy with staff/players, teams position etc., it is irrelevant because the owners, along with their other agendas, may not.

Was Gobby lifted out of the dugout and onto the pitch by a forklift truck or a crane maybe?
He must weigh close to 25-30 stone by now?
