Before the glamour of the FA Cup tie against Chelsea, we have to meet and beat Gillingham on Boxing Day.
Easier said than done. Gillingham are a bit of a bogey team for us, they're not far behind us, and they have the dastardly Dack in attack for them.
I'd be delighted with a 2-1 win, to cement our place in the promotion chase and provide us with a further confidence boost ahead of the Chelsea game.
No sendings off or injuries, please.
We are signing striker Junior Morias from St. Albans. Could this be another in our long run of successful signings from the lower leagues? Could he be another Assombalonga? Could he replace Nichols and feature against Chelsea? Early days, maybe.
UTP!

A perfect day for watching football, however, owing to family commitments, I'll be saving myself for the Coventry game on Saturday.
UTP, against a dangerous team (with relatively big name players)!

Always disappointing to concede an equaliser to opponents after the 90th minute. Still, at least we didn't lose to a bit of a bogey team.

Hard luck with the point, not been on this board much.
Hope we can be an inspiration to every league 1 team that aspires to go up.
Sitting pretty in 9th in the Championship with roughly the same team as last season. Good luck and all the best for the new year.

Thanks, Snapski. Your team are going great guns. May they continue in the same fashion in 2017.
In terms of gunning for promotion, we could have done with beating the Gills, but, who knows, we may join you next season.
In the meantime, a win or draw against Chelsea would be nice. They'll be playing Spurs away on the Wednesday before they play us so may be knackered and roll out a second team.
