We haven't had a Bonus Points game for a while. Alongside the usual score predicting fun, predict the first Brewers goalscorer. Two points for that. Predict no goalscorer and if that materialises it would also earn you 2 points. Predict it to be an own goal by a Preston player and if that happens, you would get 5 points.

For the first time in a long while NC did what we did at Doncaster, when we got promoted.
Every man behind the ball for the second half at Rotherham. Ugly and very frustrating for Brewers fans, when we know we have a good team who can attack and create chances.
At the time I was not to impressed, but at the end of the game, I can see NC point. We have to mix it up to get points on the table.
We have been playing some very good football and been on top in games, but come away with nothing, because we have not taken our chances.
I hope Sordell is a tap in merchant, who is in the right place at the right time, this is what has been missing in the team.
Let's hope it all comes together now.
Brewers 3 - 1 Preston

It seems a long time since we last saw a game at the Pirelli. Happy New Year everyone.
Well we have our first change of personnel - Beavs replaced by Marvin Sordell. Time will tell whether this is a good move. Personally I feel sorry to see Beavs go as I think that he could still contribute - particularly from the bench. I do not see that subs of Miller and Harness are strong enough at Championship level.
Anyway on to today's game. A win would be good and that is what I think will happen.
I will go for 3.1 (it is about time we scored more than a couple) with Ward scoring the first.

This will be 1-1 and showing how far we have travelled we will be disappointed with that.
Matty Palmer scores our goal.
