Can Danny pass the Keith Thurman test?
Thurman is a lot more athletic and hits harder, Danny has the experience advantage and better resume, although I'd say Thurman's win over Porter is a better single win than anything on Garcia's resume.
Neither guy has a jab but Thurman controls distance better because he's got much better legs. Both are counter punchers, so whoever is the aggressor in this fight will be at a disadvantage imo. Garcia is very sharp and accurate with dangerous timing, so Thurman should look to use his legs to circle Danny and shoot from angles, keep Danny off balance and don't let him set his feet.
I think ma man Keith got this one, it's gonna be tough but I think ends Garcia's streak with a close but clear UD win, like 116-112.

In hindsight yes but at the time everyone was ducking mattysse in fact When they fought he was like what KOV was before ward or what GGG is now didn't have all the belts/lineal but was considered the best!
Khan was/should've been unified champion had Peterson not cheated!
Porter has never been ranked 1 or 2 in the division Garcia beat both top ranked opponents
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was nothing like Golovkin or Kovalev, nowhere near as skilled. He was a very good fighter, in fact I picked him to beat Danny, but he was never a top level guy, just a very serious puncher with moderate skills. Nobody ever had him P4P etc, he had losses against washed up Judah and Alexander (I had him winning both fights personally), that showed us his ceiling.
You're looking at everything on paper. Porter has never been ranked 1 or 2 because he's in the most loaded division in boxing, also Floyd and Pac were both around when he broke through. Use some common sense.

Looks like most on here are picking Danny. Interesting.
There's going to be some vicious exchanges in this fight, I can see both guys getting hurt.

He was like GGG and kov in the way he was ducked! Was on the same hype train as them though

Really looking forward to this one. I'll throw my hat into the Thurman corner and I'm going for a late stoppage.

I'm not, both excellent fighters but I'm going for a Thurman victory and I'll stick my neck out and say by ko/tko.
Should be a great fight though I suspect, expecting lot's of exchanges unless Danny Swift decides to run, hopefully that doesn't happen though and probably wouldn't work against Thurman anyway.

I've never really rated Danny. Always looks a bit untidy to me (for want of a better description) and his fights appear slightly off-the-cuff as opposed to a strategy or style. I guess you could see this as a strength - the ability to adapt.
I've always thought he gets through challenges as much on self-confidence as anything else and that when he gets beaten for the first time, another couple of defeats may well not be far behind.
With that said, I'd pick Thurman. I'd guess at either a close UD or a KO if Danny feels he has to chase the fight and opens up.

the reason Garcia isn't rated is because he's not "great" at anything so doesn't look that good! Buts he doesn't really have any weaknesses everything he does is average to good! Thurman will win by ud but I won't be betting on it
