the prem hard ?
He was always going to struggle in this league,
His last two clubs have been in one and two team leagues with maybe the exception of Atleti Real and Barca,
but by and large he has had little to no competition
now he is in a league where 1 of 5 teams
Chelsea
United
Liverpool
Arsenal
City
Will fight it out for the title
He is also in a league where the clubs like Spurs, Bournemouth Burnley and Hull on any given day can take points off the big guns.
People compare Pep and jose but imo the comparisons are weak, jose has won the Premier league 3x hes won titles in spain and Italy
Until pep does anything of note in England he for me will never be a top coach, he is there by luck and with ease and his stubborn, blame everyone else attitude will be his own downfall in England
Pep has Alot to prove to have this tag of "elite manager" IMO
Is anyone actually suprised pep is finding

I like that Pep is struggling. There's a lot of snobbery about how technically inferior the EPL is, but actually it is a very challenging league that requires a broad base of skills, more than just the ability to play pretty football.
To me.its no surprise that Pep is finding it harder than Conte because the Italian league is also quite challenging and more carried than Spain, what surprises me more is that Conte has quite easily got his players to play for him, I half expected them to rebel if they didn't fancy the hard work Conte demands.

Seriously, this is why you spurs fans are such fun, you just don't have a clue.
You seriously underestimate others whilst continually overestimating your own.

I think Chelsea fans underestimate and try to play down what a huge club Tottenham are.
Is it because of the London rivalry or is it because Peps parents hadn't even met last time they won the league?

I know what a huge club they are, I remember when we were in their shadow. Having said that, they had all the money and attracted the best players at the time.

I agree Mons! Hes come into England with a team that can outspend most other clubs and imo has one of the best squads...
If he's as good as the majority of plastic football fans say he is then he should be doing ALOT better and like you said, until he's done it here then he'll forever be in Mourinhos shadow

Maybe not technically inferior but you're hardly showing up in Europe. Spanish clubs basically dominate the EU trophy cabinet.

Fans and the media alike I find have very distorted views of Guardiola. To most he's either the very best or completely overrated, and the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
He's been fortunate enough to manage the two best teams in the world at the time of appointment, but he did get both teams playing some fascinating football - he pretty much trail blazed an entire philosophy on how to approach the game tactically while at Barcelona, and unlike someone like Bielsa actually won stuff with his radial methods - so labeling him 'overrated' I think is very harsh.
Where I do agree with those who question the true value of his stock is his utter inflexibility, and as seen very recently, his complete reluctance to accept the criticism of those who question his philosophies weaknesses. He's still young enough to adapt, and he will have too at some point.
I'm surprised and I'm not. I pretty much expected what's wound up happening at City this season, for them to start like a house on fire and gradually fall away leading to Pep seeing the season as a learning curve. What I didn't expect was for him to crumble under the pressure as much as he has so far, but like I said time is on his side

I really don't get the argument that he's feeling the pressure, what pressure do people think he's currently under? We won the other day, it wasn't that that wound him up.
