Claudio Press Conference

Lots of interesting information today

FROM TODAY'S CLAUDIO CONFERENCE

VARDY TO START VS EVERTON
After a busy Premier League period, rotation is expected for Saturday's trip to Everton.
Ranieri did not confirm he would make changes, but did reveal that Jamie Vardy would start at Goodison Park following the completion of the striker's three-match ban. (no injury concerns currently)

NIDIDI CLEARED TO PLAY
Claudio Ranieri has arrived and has confirmed that Wilfred Ndidi's work permit application has been accepted and he will be available to take on Everton in the FA Cup on Saturday.

'Ndidi NOT like Kante,'
"He’s a very impressive player with a great future," said the Italian.
"He’s another kind of player [to Kante] - totally different.
"A lot of big teams wanted him [Ndidi], but he prefers to come with us to improve."

NO BIDS FOR CITY PLAYERS
Ranieri says the club have not recieved any bids for their current squad players, despite the rumours circulating about Leo Ulloa and Jeff Schlupp, with the Italian adding that he would do whatever is right for the club.
The City boss particularly stressed Ulloa's importance to the squad: "He’s our player. I believe in him."

CITY TO EMBRACE THE FA CUP
Claudio Ranieri ended his press conference on the note that the FA Cup was still an important competition to City, despite their ongoing campaigns in the Premier League and Champions League.
Will the 'magic of the cup' be visible on Saturday?

Ulloa departure blocked

Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa will reportedly be forced to stay at the King Power Stadium despite rumours of a January departure.
The Argentinian is reportedly looking for more regular first-team football, but with Islam Slimani away at the Africa Cup of Nations, City will need Ulloa to lead the line on occasion during the next month or so.
Ulloa's future will likely be put to Claudio Ranieri at his press conference today, as the City boss meets the media to preview this weekend's FA Cup tie with Everton at Goodison Park.
Leicester have had no approaches for Ulloa and Ranieri started he is our player and that he 'believes in him'

A 3-2-2-1-2 formation. Cool.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think he was thinking 3-5-2 with Albrighton and Chilwell wing backs, Ndidi and Drinky holding with Okazaki behind the front two.

My FA Cup team:

Zieler
Simpson Huth Wasi Chilwell
Ndidi King Mendy
Okazazki
Musa Vardy

Get some rotation in, give key players a rest, but still put out a solid team with the ability to get a result.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately any team with Zieler and Wasi in it isn't solid. Swap them for Schmeichel and Morgan and I like it but I think Drinky is fit so it would be good for him to have a game before Chelsea next week.
