Top 4

So, we´re just over halfway through the season, who do you think´s most likely to be getting top 4?

For me, you´ve gotta say that Chelsea are nailed on. Big points advantage, quality manager, talent all over the pitch and a strong mentality too, recovering brilliantly after the Arsenal thrashing to go on a record equaling run.

Liverpool look strong. They´ve stumbled a little since the Coutinho injury but Klopp´s got them playing great football and he´s also tightened up at the back. Players are giving their all for the cause, I think they´ll make it.

Tottenham, back in the top 4 for the first time since October but will they be there come May? Not sure to be honest. They´re a good side, no question, but struggle when it comes to crunch time. Plus, their squad is probably the weakest out the top 6 overall with not a lot of quality to come in in the face of injuries to key players such as Alli or Kane. Think they might just miss out.

Man City. They won´t win the league but a team of this quality has to make top 4. We´re yet to see the best of Guardiola in the Prem I feel and I can see City going on a decent enough run to make sure they´re in the premier quartet by the end of the season.

Arsenal, this year might be the year they finally don´t make it. I know that commentators have predicted this for nigh on a decade now and Arsene´s always found a way but I look at his rivals: Conte, Klopp, Guardiola and Mourinho and I just feel that they have what it takes to eclipse Wenger this season. The mental toughness has always been the issue and I´m not sure Arsenal will bring as much fight as their rivals.

Man Utd. I think Mou will pull it off. It´s gonna go right down to the wire but now he´s finally got his team winning I don´t see that changing too much for the remainder of the season. He seems to have won over the squad and they´re now buying into his methods. For me the title-winning Mourinho is back (for now at least) as opposed to the catastrophe Mourinho of last season. Of course he won´t win the title this season but I think he´ll get top 4.

So overall prediction:

Chelsea, Pool, United and City to make it.

What do you guys think?

More importantly will wenger be here next season?

I'd be shocked if Pool don't make it to be honest. I think they've shown themselves to be a much stronger team than previous seasons, easily their best side since the 2012/13 season. Maybe I'm wrong on Utd but they've got some quality players and a run of form from Martial, Rashford, Mkhitaryan, Rooney etc could really see them go places.

It's gonna be fascinating to see which way it goes.

I think Chelsea probably have enough on the board.

I have a feeling City will miss out myself.

The next two for them could be pivotal - Everton away, Spurs home.

It would not really surprise me if any two missed out though. Even Chelsea

Personally, I still feel like United and Liverpool are most suspectable to dropping points against the smaller teams, which is what will cost them. Arsenal will struggle for as long as Xhaka and Ramsey are the midfield partnership though, we'll rely heavily on Sanchez making things happen.

Chelsea clear favourites for the title now, 5 point buffer and no European football. They've flopped it if they don't win from here.

!00% disagree.

A 5 point lead is nothing with 18 games to go, all it takes is a draw and a loss. That can hapben in our next two games.

We were 10th last season and hopeless.

After 6 games we were 8 points behind City and in the space of 14 games gained 15 points to now have a 7 point lead over them.

So if you think losing 5 points over 18 games is flopping, then by your reasoning if none of the other 4 win it theyhave completed the biggest bottle job in history.

More the fact that you have the buffer and no European football. The extra rest and training between games is a huge advantage - clearly backed up by Leicester winning the league last season and Liverpool, who bottled it, with their strongest league finish the other year.

No idea what you meant by your final statement.

United have to go to Spurs, Arsenal, City and lets not forget they are in 6th place 4 points from 4th. As things stand they are the weakest link in my opinion, and I still think they have a poor result against the weaker teams home and away. Almost blew it against Boro and a 10 men Westham

NOTHING They have done over their unbeaten run suggests they are a better team than Spurs or Arsenal for that matter.
..............
Well we battered Arsenal and Spurs like most teams but Arsenal got a lucky draw with only shot in 2nd half. Our stats are more dominant then table toppers Chelsea.

In last 8 wins in all competitions our stats are completely one sided shots for vs shots against as well. Reading played like on par with Middlesbrough.

We should have 7 or 8 against Middlesbrough, 7 or 8 against Reading, 7 or 8 against Sunderland and thats with average finsihing. Shocking finishing cost us this season.
