MATCH FACTS
Liverpool have never lost an FA Cup game against a team from the fourth tier (W12 D3).
The Reds have advanced from the FA Cup third round on each of their last five attempts, last failing to do so in 2010/11 when they were knocked out by Manchester United.
This will be the first FA Cup meeting between Liverpool and Plymouth - they last met in a fixture of any kind in April 1962, when they played in a second tier fixture at Home Park.
At Anfield, Liverpool haven't conceded a goal in FA Cup competition since March 2012 against Stoke (five consecutive clean sheets since).
Philippe Coutinho has netted in each of his last three FA Cup appearances (three goals).
Jordan Henderson has assisted three goals in his last five outings in this competition, but is yet to score in 17 FA Cup appearances for Liverpool.
The Pilgrims have been eliminated in each of their last 11 FA Cup meetings against top-flight opposition; their most recent win was against West Brom in the fifth round in the 1983/84 campaign.
Plymouth have never won at Anfield in their entire history, drawing two and losing three games in the second tier between 1954 and 1961.

Paisley you make a valid point perhaps Sturridge and other senior players should be more of a concern but I was worried when young Ben scored I'd seen him play a good few times and don't think he's anywhere near good enough for us and I probably went a bit hard on him just to vent my frustration that he's not playing well

I don't think we can judge the young players on one or two games. Stewart and Ejaria have had better games and will get better. I'm annoyed with Origi not just this game but in most games this season. Poor control and shooting and mainly his movement.
Ojo was good. Woodburn is 17 and is going to be a star.

Metro don't use facts on here there not welcome
For example if a player plays awful against a team 60 odd places below us over 2 games you aren't allowed to say they did if their under 20
Term will call you a name
He won't tell you why you're wrong because you are right but it's not accepted on here

Maybe you should just phone your brother during the game. That way we wouldn't have to suffer your non stop dripping throughout the game.
Continually stating that 'x' is shiite over and over isn't really inviting positive debate, is it?

My thoughts:
Not a great team performance but to be expected really with that sort of mixed team out.
Trent AA was outstanding I felt. Gomez was good in the main, Lucas was good, no dramas from Moreno. Karius flapped a little but was positive.
We defended well overall and they didn't have much other than the chance that hit the post.
On to midfield, Stewart holds well and tracks well but his passing is poor and it's a problem. He gives us good balance defensively but you lose that progression.
Ejaria is too safe. Doesn't do anything wrong but needs to show a bit more confidence with his passing and running.
Good hour from Coutinho.
Woodburn was lost wide in the first half, but I thought he was good in the 2nd half, composed, tried to make things happen and took risks.
Origi wide doesn't really work, he's too lose with the ball and is better with his back to goal in the middle where he can roll defenders. We looked more dangerous with him there.
Wilson was good when he came on, some nice touches and looked to create.
Ojo was excellent, direct and committing defenders. He's way better on the left than the right.
Sturridge was Sturridge. Some good movement that went unrewarded, some greedy play and a bit of sulking. He's not doing enough to say he should be starting regularly and continues to look likely to be sold sooner or later (won't happen this month).
Next round I would like to see us start Wilson right and Ojo left who are natural wide forwards on their best sides. With Origi down the middle and Lallana or Coutinho behind. Leave Woodburn on the bench.

Woodburn and Wilson their first is very good which gives them much time on the ball. They will make mistakes but they are yound and will learn,.

I thought the service to both Sturridge and Origu was poor tbh, even Coutinho struggled to move the balls inti the right areas....
