I think we really need a player this January to boost the squad as we look so lethargic and tired. Some players need a few games out of the lineup, Can being one of them. Some just need a kick up the backside, Milner and Sturridge come to mind.
Positives from today, it's only 1-0, could have been over tonight. Also that was Karius's best game for us today, despite the awful performance of everybody else on the pitch. Lastly our best player in Coutinho is back.
For the mancs, I haven't felt this negative going to OT since Ferguson. They are finding their feet just as our bubble seems to have burst.
Need our captain back, need Sturridge to up his game or be dropped and need Coutinho to dust off the cobwebs quickly.

If you fail to beat us on Sunday it will mean you've beaten us just once in last 8 meetings ( Europa leg one) And we've been very poor for this period.
I think too many of you have got way too carried away this season

The beauty of it all is that, following last night's game, no one can predict with any certainty what's going to happen at OT on Sunday.
I hope that last night's debacle will have the desired effect on the team for that game. If that doesn't spur them on then nothing will.
Both Can and Wij had very poor games. I'd move Milly into midfield to join Henderson, I would take the risk and put Stewart in, Gomez at LB.

Cos bringing phil jones and fellaini off the bench is such an enviable position. We've got 4 of our key players out at the moment. It's hardly a surprise weren't not playing wonderfully. Take Pogba, Ibrahimovic, mata and Bailly out of United States team and see what happens.
City and Chelsea are the only teams with any kind of depth in the league. And they're both still hugely reliant on their centre forwards.

Problem was last night was Southampton parking the bus and waiting for us to make mistakes in possession.
You have to give them a lot of credit tbf
However on the flip side we miss Matip, Mane and Coutinho badly.. You could even argue that we miss Sakho to certain degree, as I still think he is arguably our best CB... Its due the falling out that he isn't playing...
Lovern seems to be turning into Skrtel IMO... Either world class or liability.
Putting all doom aside we have it all to play for right now and we are having key players return to the side too!
