There was one long shot of him sitting on the sidelines (I think just after City conceded their 3rd goal), where he was just looking down at his feet not even watching the game. Looked like he was just sulking. Can't be a good image for players to see. He should be encouraging his players to keep working until the final whistle - but it seemed like he'd thrown in the towel. Bizarre.

Yeah I saw that as well BlueJ2. Very strange and not something you'd expect to see from the supposedly best manager in the world.
Maybe he now realises how incredibly tough it is to manage in the PL. No excuses though as he has some great players in Aguero, De Bruyne and Silva who were all playing today.
Bravo is a terrible keeper though and more fool Pep if he stubbornly continues to play him.

So any manager who lost a game now is due for the sack?
Our plan is long term and we will not adopt your club's knee jerk approach.

Op, just for your info, Stones had a fantastic game today.
We were let down by Clichy instead.

Pepp for me is still a very good manager, but whether his methods can work in the premier league is yet to be seen.
Also it should be stated that Man City's squad really isn't as good as people make it out to be. Silva, De Bruyne, Aguero are excellent players but are not anything special when compared to Chelsea's, Tottenham, Arsenal's or Liverpool have at their disposal. There defence is a complete mess, and has been since Mancini left. The fact that Stones is a regular in their side when he had barely even established himself as a Everton first choice CB is amazing.
What Liverpool and Tottenham have showed is that a manager needs time get his message across to the players and coach the team. What City and United need to understand is that transfers won't be the solutions to their problems. They have talent, but they need a settled squad. United are finally looking like a team, and getting their act together. City need to do the same.
