Video technology

After yet another weekend of more controversial refereeing decisions is it not way past the time that video technology is introduced to ensure that correct decisions are made.

The way it is applied raises many questions but once introduced it can be evolved and improved. The fact that no system exists will only perpetuate the feelings of injustice that all football fans experience.

We can see how the implementation of goal line technology has completely eradicated errors in this aspect of the game. I cannot understand why the authorities of the game are so reluctant to address this issue.

As I said, I don't have an objection with it and believe it can work well.

My objection is with people who think it'll stop any disagreement with referee decisions.

Yes, but my point is that teams will use the system for the bigger decisions - yesterday's red card being a classic example.

And ultimately that will come down to the referee's interpretation, which won't help the people furious at what they feel was an incorrect decision.

Can you not see any application of video technology being beneficial? If it was restricted only for offside issues that were blatant would you accept introducing it?

I like it the way it is. Controversy is part of the game.

7 subs, all seater stadiums, squad rules, ownership rules, finance rules, transfer rules
........................

None which effect the flow of the game or provide game time talking points, except perhaps the sub rule where a manager can be criticised for a bizarre substitution which takes us back to human error.
