Derby County 2 - 2 Leicester City FA Cup

After the draw I felt pleased that we had been given a provincial side, a team nearby and a guarantee of a good crowd/atmosphere. We're not really rivals.

Imagine my chagrin at the temerity of some opposition fans trying to (re)kindle a rivalry, local or otherwise . It was embarrassing . Look opposition fans, this is just another game......

Oh, and just like the WBA fans, they are muttering about concentrating on the league (i.e. survival), meaningless fixtures, a distraction, you'll probably win, not play our strongest team......ad nauseum.

Win win for them or lose lose or win lose or lose win or summat....

Derby are in a good mood after last weeks win versus Reading, where despite 65%/35% possession against us we still came out on top and gave away two soft goals. Still it leaves us nicely poised but with the added distraction of the FA Cup.

Leicester are not comfortable in their league and maintain that this game is a distraction, so win or lose its a win win or a...........schisse.....we've done this.

So, 7.55pm KO Friday - on real telly.

This is a slow burn match article, so let Ang and Heb slow burn it with contributions from 2W .....and of course anyone else .

Team news to follow.

Oh, the collection tomorrow night will be for this brave, young die-hard Derby fan:

Don't think so, Jorv.
Thought I heard that they played with just one up front (Dicko?).

Sorry IwasYoung wanted to be taught a lesson in how to be thrashed at pool. I gladly obliged.

So back to the pitch invader with the Arsenal shirt. Is that the sort of plastic fan that supports your club when you win the league. That have keep them.
