I actually rate Redmond. Looks like a very tidy player.
Perfect for Poch. Looks like the type of player that can be elevated into something special.
Might be controversial, but if the opportunity came about and a deal was on the table, would you swap Lamela with him?
I think it would be an upgrade.

He does need more goals and assists in his artillery. He only has 3 goals and 1 assist in the PL. Lennon was contributing more than that at that age.

needs to up his goals defo, but he puts goals on a plate and Southampton strikers are always misfiring. happened a few times last night too....

Might be some of that going on. Even so his final ball can be a little iffy.
Thing is I'd have expected more goals from him since having seen a few England U-21 videos, he's one of the better ones at shooting.

yeah fair enough spurtle.
hes a young lad though and the kind of player that I think would interest poch.
personally I want us to sign Damari Gary from lesta and have been saying it since about half way through last season. every time I watch him play I am impressed I think he's really skilful. he doesn't play all the time and maybe he needs bulking up and a bit of discipline teaching, but I think he's a real talent and a player flying well under the radar of most of the top clubs....

i like redmond but he does not fit the system. I think in the right side he could be a very very good asset.
Sadly we play narrow and there is no changing that not at all hence why the likes of N'kodou, townsend, n'jie all deemed surplus to requirements.
Would prefer antonio who can play as a narrow attacking midfielder.
If we ever changed managers redmond would be top of my list under the right guidance he will flourish we just do not use his position.
As for Lamela i believe his position is the one up for grabs when we play 4-2-3-1 the weekest link inside the arguable usual first 11.
Would love Son and Lamela on when we are winning a game as subs they can stretch and aggravate the other side who will try to push up the pitch. sometimes feel they gping missing during 90 minutes.

I like Redmond. If someone left, I would be happy if it were him we chose replacing them.
As it stands though, for 3/4 positions (depending on formation) we have eight players:
Kane
Eriksen
Alli
Son
Lamela
Sissoko
Janssen
GKN
5 proven, another 3 in their first 6 months here, and also Edwards on the periphary.
Hard to find a place for Redmond there. You feel it would have to be for one of the pacier players rather than Lamela

Mate why would we get Redmond when we got rid of the slightly superior version in Townsend?

Would be surprised if many agree with you that Townsend is better
I would also say that Desmond's potential ceiling seems to be a lot higher ... Just needs some proper coaching but he's developing ok at Southampton

I dunno if he necessarily is, just two ball hog wingers who make the wrong decision a lot

Prefer Redmond to Townsend myself
Some horrific shouts on this thread though. Spurs should be looking at far far better players than Wilson, Andre Gray and Antonio

But he plays for Liverpool reserves, they have first dibs. Can see a swap with Sturridge
