One positive....

......is that I came away moaning that we had missed several chances we which we should have buried. Not said that in a while!

I agree it was better overall or at least, not any worse in areas. So I would suggest it was a step in the right direction, but it only looks this way if we continue to improve midweek - and I'm being positive and stating and stating we will

Dunge can you please create your player rating article so I can vent about Musa

Yeah I'm hoping Slimani will be available for Burnley, although they have a good home record we actually had a very good record at Turfmoor so maybe just maybe this will be the game to finally get an away win.

If we play with that energy, intensity and high pressing we'll get a result.

I thought we were bang average to be honest. Gonna go against the grain here - I was still worried by our performance.

We pressed more, but we still lack an intensity to make it pay in the Derby half. We didn't press as a team, and as a result it rarely resulted in a turnover.

We also looked defensively shaky against an average Derby attack. If they had more quality we could have been punished in numerous more occasions.

However, there's no denying it was better. I think we'll see more of 4-4-1-1 in upcoming games. Vardy may miss out!

I thought we played OK and I quite enjoyed the game. We passed it around better than we have for a while andif we had taken our chances early in the second half we could have gone on to win.

Defending was again a problem and I do worry that Big Wes has had his day. He and Huth are so, so slow.

Thought Derby looked good in patches and was very impressed with Hughes. Always am when I see him, but I believe the Derby fans feel he needs to do it more consistently. Though Olsen was excellent as well.

Overall, a draw was a fair result and looking forward to the replay that I think we can win.

I think Vardy has to miss out because I just don't think we have the creativity in the team or the right dynamics to provide him with chances whereas we can with Slimani.

Bang average is a step forward at the minute unfortunately

It was better than average, 62% possession, double the shots on goal and target and almost four times as many corners. I agree we still looked shaky at the back and we weren't brilliant by any stretch of the imagination but it was a better than average performance in my opinion.

With a few personnel tweaks, namely Ndidi instead of King who will give us a lot better protection in front of the back four, we shouldn't be as shaky. I said on another thread that I think he would have prevented both goals yesterday because he would have been challenging Bent for the header (based on positioning I've seen on clips mostly of him heading clear from the centre of the box) and he wouldn't have left a huge hole between midfield and defence.

I don't really care who plays left mid out of Chilwell, Gray or Musa, probably Chilwell because he's naturally left sided and more defensive but also attacks and use the others for their pace as subs later in the game. Albrighton has to be on the right and Mahrez and Slimani in the middle. I hope that's what we see at Burnley.

I spoke to some Derby fans before the match and they were concerned about their lack of goalscoring threat - but they still managed two against us.

Carson can't have believed his luck when time after time we chose to gently pass the ball straight to him rather than score.

I'd also like to see Ndidi with Drinky as the midfield two.

Gray had a much better game, at last he's starting to look for team-mates. Mahrez looked good when he came on.

At least we're still in the cup with a chance of progressing.

Where's the new CB by the way?

They wouldn't have scored those goals with Ndidi, I'm convinced of that.

We can't afford the extra few million for Acerbi by the looks of it, all we have is £8.5m and Sassuolo told us to do one. I think that's where the new centre back is.

Yeah still in the cup, get to play the sheep at home and hopefully in the knowledge that we've got an easy home tie in the 5th round. Most likely we'll have a PL team away, which isn't looking like Liverpool they're losing 2-0 at home to Wolves

Now Spurs are losing 2-0 to Wycombe as well
