Writing this after watching tributes to Graham Taylor and footage of both managers leading their teams out at Wembley for 1984 FA Cup final. To the majority of fans for both clubs, they're legendary figures. And to the football world, amongst the best managers in club football of all time.
Their best achievements:
Graham Taylor took Watford from Fourth Division to First Division in 5 seasons, and they were runners-up in First Division for 1982-83 season.
Howard Kendall won First Division for Everton in 1985 and 1987, FA Cup in 1984 and European Cup Winners Cup in 1985.

What Taylor did was amazing.
He had a tough time of it as England boss but his players at the time all had good things to say about him. Like bed his commentary.
Both big losses to the football world.
Kendall will always be a hero, legend. Player and manager, with success as both for Everton.
Never see a player do that for a club again

Nice comments L.M. and Bobby Dazler. Thanks! and a fond farewell to G.T.
I was there that day. Watford fans were amazing after the game. Freddy Starr was hilarious with his pre-match antics at the Blues end and Elton, crying when Abide with me was sung, touched a nerve.
Great day all round.
