evening my fellow disappointed reds,
im feeling the need to respond to an increasing vibe of negativity surrounding our club and manager.

i take articles that ive seen recently with a pinch as its usually from fair weather fans, knee jerking all over. spouting that klopp should've bought in jan, shouldve addressed depth in the summer, one trick pony tactics etc

firstly, klopp does not refuse to buy. he will only buy the right player he needs at athe right price. if he cant get them then he doesn't buy just anyone. he correctly states that you don't get value(mostly) in January. so he rarely buys in jan. for me, that's responsible management.

klopp said when he took charge that hes here for the long term. not a quick fix team. id rather he took time and built with the players he wants for value. not just spVnking cash for anyone. if that means summer buys then so be it

we had to have a bad spell. likely was going to come when we lost our spine. matip, hendo, coutinho, mane. all out at once. now theyre back but not fit or match sharp. not surprised we have been c@ck. problem has been that(as we all know) the squad depth after klopps decimation in the summer(we spent around £70 - 80m but still made a profit!!) is not ideal. I like that he wants to give youth a chance and we have some great youth but we need more experienced back up to cover injury crisis.

I like that jurgen has been able to adapt players to new positions pretty successfully. but to win titles consistently? im sure these positions will be dealt with when the right player is available.

klopp has made mistakes tho. misusing lallana and firmino(2 of our best performing players) to cover our crisis. both should have been kept in their best positions and others drafted in around them.
lucas at cb? where was Gomez today? persisting with Can rather than wijnaldum?

we do need to address our tactics vs the teams outside the big 6. but more in the way we start the game. we were flying out the traps at teams and decimating them early. once weve scored early, it plays to our hands. but weve seemd to take time to settle. why? tired? lost our rhythm due to injuries? I do see that we are trying to keep patient and possession to wear these sides down, when we haven't scored early, which is a good tactic(if ur creative players are fit and in form)

I feel we are partially victim of our excellent first half of the season. ask yourself honestly, before the first game of the season, what was your expectation for us this season? title challenge? top 4 with ease? top 4 challenge? cup run and top 6?
I felt confident of a strong top 4 challenge. so ive been delighted up to 31/12/2016. and yes I have been expecting a bad spell. overall ive been delighted with klopp, the team, style of play. we will over come this period of trials and tribulations and we will be up there come seasons end
