To Liverpool fans.Did klopp use the same tactics at Dortmund or did he vary his formations.I have heard all the media stuff about the bundesliga having a winter break so players could recover, but surely thats a weak arguement.
His assistant Buvac the brain (aka Micky Flanagan) would have advised him on tactics/formations etc.
The likes of Chelsea and Everton have changed tactics whilst enduring poor results so why aren't we?
Is Klopp going to be a latter day Arsene Wenger where we are crying out for players in key positions ie keeper/central defender and he keeps ignoring it?
Does anyone know how Ward is doing as keeper for Huddersfield?
Every premiership team must be wanting to play Liverpool now.So predictable and toothless

Yeah Klopp has been having a shocker of late

Let's see what happens this summer. We seem to be linked to 20 year olds from abroad which for me is not the answer.
50% off the problems will be resolved if we buy Hart and VVD. That's proven quality. I though can't see us going for Hart.

Too many players out of form at the same time.
We have started missing sitters that we weren't missing earlier in the season.
Sturridge against Saints, Firmino against Chelsea, Coutinho yesterday. All gilt edged chances, if they go in then we could still be in the one cup final and could be 3 pts better off in the league and nobody would be saying we were in crisis.
I don't think we are doing much wrong. Things will start to change for the better for us soon.
Too many people let results dictate what they think about performances.
We have had some bad games in this run, but 2nd half yesterday we did most things right and they couldn't get out of their half. We just missed a sitter that probably would have turned the game.
First halves we need to show more tempo and not be reliant on a better 2nd half, but lots of teams have that problem.

Its not the goal scoring thats a problem really its been the defence. Put a decent defensive midfielder in your team then even your current defenders will be better. I really believe with this addition liverpool would improve.
--------
Agree with you regarding the defensive midfielder. Most top teams have two good defensive or holding midfielders. We have Henderson who can't tackle and is physically weak and Can who's a liability. I think if we improve this position and get a keeper who can handle high crosses then we should be fine. Chelsea have Kante and Matic. They are so good. Arsenal have Cazorla, Coquelin and Xhaka. Cazorla is like Xabi Alonso and Coq is like Mascherano. Tottenham have the best two in my opinion in Dembele and Wanyama. Not a coincident both Chelsea and Spurs have conceded less goals. It's not only about the back four. Before the change of formation people were saying Cahill was a poor defender and Luis can't defend. Tottenham have had injuries to key defenders in Alderweireld who was out for few weeks and now Vertonghen. No effect on their defensive organisation.

I remember Spurs were conceding a lot of goals with our current defence. Alderweireld came out and said that the midfield was not protecting the defence. Think the following season Dier was converted to a defensive midfielder and that stopped us from conceding so much.
If Liverpool can do something similar they might score a little less but they wouldnt need 3 goals just to win or draw the game.
Liverpool has a good record against the top 6 because they obviously more focused on their defensive duties as a team.

True. It's about the whole team not just the back four. I also remember Vertonghen was blamed for making mistakes. If you have no protection to the back four then over the 90 minutes the defence could make one or two costly mistakes. I think even Wenger have realised that and now he plays Coquilan.

Not saying he's very good but he's the best they've got not in terms of passing the ball or skills but tackling and tracking back. Arsenal miss Cazorla most. Arsenal at least have a reliable keeper. My point is we don't have to play two holding midfielders who might look good as box to box midfielders but don't tackle or protect the defence. One of Can or Henderson has to be dropped. Wij has to play. Stewart can be brought in when we need to protect a lead. Klopp doesn't change his tactics whether we are leading or chasing the game.
