What a game he had yesterday. Calm in possession, quick to close down and an eye for a forward pass.
Early days but he looks like the long term successor to Barry. So full of options in the middle, Gueye got to have a rest.
Makes me wonder why he never became a hit at United? Well it looked old like good fortune has aided Everton and we look to have a good player here.

It was a shame Jose never really gave him a chance. Under LVG he was constantly in and out of the team and never seemed to get a good run. Good luck to him though, I think you've got a really good player there.

For whatever reason he was never played as a B2B for us which is where he excelled for Saints. Koeman seems to know where his strengths are.

Good energy. Tidy on the ball. More than happy with signing him. He was ok against stoke barring a couple of miss hit passes as well.

Ironically, the only good game he had for United was against Everton last season.

This isn't true.
The 1-1 home draw against Chelsea was comfortably his best game. Herrera, Bastian and Morgan played in a midfield 3 that day and were excellent. We should have won the game.
Morgan looked out of his depth at United for me though. Lacked the aggression he showed at Saints and seemed to hide away from getting on the ball. Passing was sloppy, too.

Tbh and with all due respect he just looked scared and over awed at UTD.
Having read various books/ biographies etc about utd its not uncommon for some top players just being too nervous coming out at OT.
It would have helped if we weren't struggling and a Keane or evra was around to have helped him. We lack that currently

Seems odd applauding the defensive midfielder in a game that they conceded 3.

Technically we only conceded twice

Wasn't that 0-0, the Chelsea game at Old Trafford?

Without him it would have ended 6-6
Well played konman, great signing, poaching him away from one of their rivals and at a bargain price too

Off the top of my head it was either 0-0 or 1-1. I'd gamble on the latter but being too lazy to check.
