Its very rare I write anything negative about Spurs but I'm fuming the way we are playing at the moment.
We haven't played well since we beat Chelsea. A poor goalless draw at bottom club Sunderland, A narrow win against Boro, a fortunate win against Wycombe and two awful just awful defeats against Liverpool and Gent.
I can pretty much take the defeat against Liverpool, even though they were in poor form they have some top class players but Gent for FFS !! - Mid table in the Belgium bloody league who left out a few of their best players.
First half was ponderous, slow and we lacked any creativity, start of the second half we looked decent up until they scored, the defending was schoolboy stuff.
Young Harry Winks our best player because at least he kept the ball and tried to make things happen.
Since his injury Alderweireld has been poor especially without his partner Vertonghen. Dier great in Midfield and decent in a back three is absolutely awful in a back two.
Walker looks like he has had the stuffing knocked out of him and Davies is the most average LB we have had at the club since Lee Young Pyo.
My god how we have missed Rose.
Rose apart from being a fine player has tenacity and he is a winner and his return can't come quick enough.
Wanyama after a great start has gone off the boil a bit in the last few games but to be fair he has been awesome this season. Dembele just wants to beat as many players as he can but does nothing with it and sooner or later his place must come under scrutiny in the side. He just doesn't perform throughout the whole ninety.
Kane has been a pale shadow of the player he was last season, yes his goal scoring record is decent again but he used to win games on his own for us last season. The amount of times he fell over tonight and he looks so blooming knackered (maybe its because he is new dad)
Alli after a slow start was superb for seven games or so but his form has dropped and he seems too keen on showboating all the time.
Son is very inconsistent but at least he has magic in his boots from time to time, Sissoko was absolutely diabolical again tonight, I've got to admit I thought he would be a great signing for us but now I'm just praying we get shot of him in the summer.
Wimmer will be off in the summer as its clear that Poch doesn't trust him, which is a shame because he was excellent last season.
We have missed Lamela as he is so integral to our pressing game, I just hope everything behind the scenes is ok with him.
Poch and the coaching staff can't get away with any criticism either, tactically we have been woeful recently and we just don't seem to start games well at the moment.
I know we will probably beat Gent at Wembley next week but these are worrying signs for Spurs at the moment. Hopefully the returning Rose and Vertonghen and reverting to the 3-4-2-1 formation will see an upturn in form because it aint good enough at the moment.
Abysmal Spurs

I wish I knew what's wrong with Janssen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was a big fish in a crap league, like Altidore, Depay and Kuyt were before him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not really though was he.
Was his first season in the top Dutch league after playing 2 seasons in the league below
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't really get what you mean, but it's obvious to anyone the Dutch league is utterly crap, and he scored an awful lot of goals in it. Now he's come to the PL and is struggling to score just one goal from open play.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yet you cant beat a team, playing in a league worse than the Dutch league
----------------------------------------------------------------------
you have been lingering around here for the whole day, and you don't even have the balls to state the team you support in your profile. you monotonous littlecunt. fack off.

The way people are going it's like we've turned in a rubbish team
It's been what a bad month? Come on ffs people need to get a grip a little bit.
Having Verts & Rose back is massive and we'll go back
On a good run.
The squad does need a bit of a overhaul though but Lamela back would certainly help majorly imo as he's the closet player in terms of technique to Eriksen we have.
Let's not forget he was very good last season and was one of the better players early on in the season too
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry Mate... but cannot agree on the Lamela/Eriksen comparison... Eric is so one footed/ predictable its a joke. Eriksen is inconsistent but they are leagues apart in terms of talent /creativity. Lamela's best quality is his work ethic....... a sad reflection on a 30mln quid player

don't agree with your assessment of Lamela,
yes he does work hard, but he is a very unpredictable player and has weighed in with quite a few important assists, if not goals, over the last year or so.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think unpredictable is a nice way of saying he doesn't know what he's doing...... I think of him losing the ball, making stupid tackles, running down blind alleys & getting shown to his right (always leads to nothing) more than goals/ assists (Granted the assist for Eriksen at City last season was great, as was his header at Everton opening game of this season. Other than that the vast majority of his good performances have been against the Prem whipping boys & Europa League pub teams.

Not saying he's terrible, He's not. He was overpriced, overated by some Spurs fans (me included) who are desperate for him to do well (esp given how bad he was at the start). No way he would get into the 1st 11 at Chelsea, City, Arsenal, United, Liverpool, Everton or prob Southampton where nearly all our other first teamers would. He plays for us because of what he cost, MoPo is an Argie and Im sure Levy needs him in the shop window

I just cannot agree with that.
he was a fundamental and key part of the squad that last year achieved our highest ever PL finish....

Lamela was the 8th top Assister last season joint with Alli.
1 behind De bruyne 2 behind Marhez.
He'd 100% get in both Everton and Southampton teams easily and tbh probably arsenals over the likes of Ox, Iwobi & Walcott
Problem with Lamela people either incredibly over rate him or incredibly under rate him.
He a good player who when fit gives us another creative option.
No brainer to want him fit and ready to play

Fair debate guys !!! He's not my fav but I cannot argue your stats. As an additional point for discussion.... If we received something close to what we paid for him (25-30mln) would you sell this summer, would you want to keep regardless or do you think he's done enough to justify Levy looking for a big profit should he want to sell/ Player want a move ? I know its paper talk but have been a few stories that he's unsettled/family issues.. ???????

He wouldn't be on my list of players to sell but I'm a person that if a player wants to go then let them regardless.

I think Lamela and Son would make our bench quite strong in terms of bringing them on in 70 minutes to harass opposition defenders.
Sadly i think Lamela is gone whatever has happened and by all accounts it is something very upsetting for him i do not think his contrubution will be of any use between now and the end of the season.

Pub teams such as City, United and Chelsea? Teams he either scored and/or assisted against last season?
