Mysic Meg here from the future.
Birm'inam City first team entertained (though only in the literal sense I must add, there was certainly NO entertainment on the pitch) Queens Park Rangers under 16's on Saturday afternoon in front of a capacity crowd of 1200 (1000 visting fans mind you)
Birm'inam City, now revitalised under new Manager Gianfranco Zoopla, dominated the opening period with balls being pinged all round the home team players until the referee blew his whistle and the match started properly at which time, the ball was promptly given to the away team who attacked in earnest.
It took a little over three minutes for the vistors to register their first goal and this contiuned with merry aplomb with them peppering the holes in the Birm'inam City defence like they just weren't there (which of course, they were not - you can put lipstick on a pig, but its still a pig afterall...)

All 4-1 and one (win) for all (14 games)!
This is ultimately a great advert for GR, someone who, had we waited, would either have gotten us play-offs/promotion or a large amount of compensation to allow him to join a 'bigger' club.
Fair play to him, he is/will be missed...any chance of him coming back 😬
Zola is out of his depth (not being sizeist there...) and probably needs to step aside but who to take over?
At least our owners and maybe Chinese ones in general will have learned a lesson...if it ain't broken, don't try and fix it...obviously doesn't translate into Mandarin!
If our v-ill-a neighhours would do us the honour of losing vs Newcastle it will be appreciated .
Let the trolls begin!...

I don't even know wha the board were thinking when the opted for Zola!
Yes, an excellent player - no question! But as a manager? Mixed fortunes, especially over the last few years, and not the kind of qualifications that would justify replacing a competent manager like Rowett.
But like with our neighbours across the city, we have impatient short-sighted board members who react first without thinking. In Villa's case opting for Garde and then RDM - both very risky moves, and as it turned out neither of them lasted very long.
And with our board binning Rowett and going for this clown just shows how out-of-touch these businessmen really are!

Oh, and as for Villa Newcastle Monday night!
on paper and current form Newcastle should trounce Villa 5-0! However, I wouldn't be surprised of Villa pull something out of the bag and sneak a very unexpected win!
Football is a funny old game, as they say! lol

Paddy, have a day off mate stop being a bhenchod for five minutes.
Didn't your mother tell you it was rude to presume? I am not a baggies fan, nor a dog head nor a vile nor a nose - I am also not some glory hunting supporter of bigger teams in the UK either, neither north or south of the midlands.

So you're basically just a massive Jeb-end then?

blueinbarca uses the term jeb-end a lot. Maybe he's a self-tutored expert in being one?
