I am asking a question, last year according to your fans, he had it tactically right, so what happened? He lost all is football knowledge? Or was last season a fluke? and now we see the real Leicester? I think you are under performing though.

I assume you are using 'you' as a collective? And I think the opinion on Ranieri and his progression at the club has quite a bit of gradation at the minute.

I guess, generically speaking when discussing players and managers at a club during troubled times, a direct comparison is difficult as you can't 'drop' a manager. But in terms of issuing opinions on personnel not being involved, there are hundreds of comments about player responsibility, who isn't trying, who should be dropped, player vs manager responsibility.

This is without, of course, the fact that, although football is slightly different, a manager is, well, the manager and the rest are personnel.

But as mentioned, there is heavy criticism of the players and I would suggest, up to this point in the season, actually quite a lot more as a whole when compared to critique of Ranieri

Dude, yes 'it' was tactically right last year, I guess the debate is around how much of that was down to Ranieri.

There is no 'fluke' over 38 games. However, There are several reasons and factors that were already in palace prior to Ranieri that contributed to our success and it's understandable these wouldn't have been highlighted to opposition fans as we weren't in the limelight as much during the build up to last year (although I genuinely do think some supporters think it all just magically became great at the start of last year for one magical season - which would have made it even more magestic - but ultimately, isn't true). The fact the media didn't recognise or even research any of this is a different matter as they were being paid and really should use reflected on the foundations that contributed to last season.

The debate now is, how much of that foundation is now being lost inadvertently or directly as a result of management and/or success affecting players.

There is a whole list of factors, and no easy answer. And that is from a Leicester fan's perspective let alone from the outside.

As a caveat, to defend the team and manager somewhat in terms of last season. Post Christmas, EVERY team knew what we were going to do and lots tried to defend and we still beat them. The data analysis from last year gradually merged into false statements/opinions/facts (untrue).

Whilst we had limited possession and this was partially a tactic, a much higher pecertange of our goals came from winning the ball higher Up the field (defensively - a second line of four that I have bleated on about us missing this year) as opposed to good ball from our defence (I'm not sure if you've seen what happens this year when they try to 'pass long' :/). There was an article on be false perceptions of Leicester last year and correlations to our low possession relating to is making the most attacking passes in the league, attempts to be pro-active, etc but I can't remember the website. It was quite interesting (well, as a Leicester fan)

There's been plenty of talk about players who either aren't trying hard enough or who simply aren't good enough, and I suspect there will be a lot more talk in the summer regardless of which league we're in. But there's a simple fact in all of this - we can't get rid of the players because it's February. As things stand, something has to change to avoid relegation, and the only thing we can change is the manager.
