Meanwhile, away from CR - Shocking

After the match, Harris refused to condemn the actions of the Millwall supporters and pointed out that he had not seen what had happened and so was reluctant to comment.
'I thought our fans were excellent today,' Harris said. 'They made it a hostile atmosphere during the match and the noise levels they produced were outrageous. They typified what the FA Cup is all about.
'I am not condoning anything and I am not going to let you put words into my mouth. No one wants to see any trouble at a football match.'

The above is to be rightly condemned as is the actions of the thugs who took part in yesterday's disgraceful scenes at Millwall

Thought the police were appalling .very few on the pitch, but fifty hiding at the station!!What were they doing there, had they not predicted what might happen if Millwall won.
Hard to have confidence or respect for police at best of times, but they did little to prevent behaviour of fans on the pitch.Sad day all round, won't go there again

I was there in 1985 no difference.

Put up with it once, never going there again - terrible place to visit - easily makes bottom of my list by some distance. I've still got a few league grounds to tick off, but I hope none dislodge Millwall. If they do I'm in for a thoroughly unpleasant day out.

There was a Millwall fan on that 606 radiothingyeffort saying that Millwall fans had done a lot for local charities and that "everyone was against them" . I also heard from someone down there that some of their thugs recently smashed up a local Liberal Club.

I'm afraid that this happens every time that Millwall have a big game. They smashed up the away end at Hull a few years ago.

I get really tired of the 'misunderstood, working class heroes' schtick. There are lots of clubs from working class communities who somehow manage to steer clear of causing riots every time they win a big game. I'm sure it's 'only a minority' but their minority seems to be a lot larger than any other club's minority.

They're just EDL flag waving idiots. Best thing for football would have been if the council had kicked them out of the Den and forced them to relocate elsewhere.
