Leeds are 8/13 to finish in top 6, how much would you put on that, seems fair odds compared to those chasing us.

Thing is, there's always someone from the pack that puts a run together and someone in the playoffs who hits a bad patch. If we get some form back we'll be fine. If we don't, one of the chasers will likely put a run together. Thing is to date, all the pack have demonstrated the ability to play really good football... none of them have show any level of consistency. Fulham are probably the biggest concern with their games in hand but you'd much rather have the points in the bag. Saturday is huge. We need a front foot performance.
Personally I don't think Wednesday or reading are all that... they have the knack of getting points... like we have for most of the season. On paper they have a great strikeforce but I genuinely don't think there's anything to fear... well, not if we could string a pass together at the moment.

fulham are a worry.
but equally, you can see why they aren't up there, the defending is shocking.
playing a good spurs team yes, shouldnt of made it as easy as it was for them.
burton did us a massive favour beating norwich, keeps them at bay a bit longer.

Fulham have those 2 games in hand and we play them away in a couple of weeks.
Norwich are probably more equipped to challenge but that was a bad result for them on Saturday.
It would be nice to see us beat Wednesday, that would get the confidence back up high.

Fulham are away at Bristol and away at Cardiff in their next 2 games. I cannot see them winning BOTH of those games.
They have also conceded 5 goals in their last 3 league games 2 a piece against 2 poor sides. With both of those wins been scrapes.
Norwich are flattering to deceive, they had a run but are not the same team we are used to seeing. B4 Burton beat them they beat the same 2 teams Fulham did b4 drawing to Newcastle at home.
After Ipswich in this weekends derby, they have Weds and Brizzle away.
Point being, that the catch up game isnt a for gone conclusion.
Owls at home
Brum away
Fulham away
QPR at home
Its still in our hands and i thik if we pick up the form we had just b4 xmas, we can get some serious points from those games.

Things aren't perfect right now but let's not overhype the teams below us. We were all worried about Norwich last week but they failed to win their two games, Derby are the ultimate bottlers, and Fulham are very inconsistent.
We will drop points but so will the chasing pack. With 7 points between us and 7th, I think we will be fine and I'd put money on top 6.
Wednesday will be looking over their shoulder too and will be fearful of the weekends game as much as us. We comfortably beat them earlier in the season and they have to come to our place where we have a great record.
Not as comfortable as we were 5 weeks ago but we are in a great position.

Suspect either us or Wednesday will drop out of the playoffs maybe, Reading at a push. This saturday is a massive game. Monk has to get them fired up and we have to win.

Teams drop points thats the nature of the Championship. Its just you need to pick up more points than the others. Id be more worried if we were outside the top 6 right now.

Personally i dont see any team in the current playoff spots dropping out of them....it would take a collapse on the scale of the england cricket team for that to happen
As already said derby are total bottlers and norwich not consistent enough and have a very <angry> manager

On current form (last six matches) we're 9th, and unfortunately the other 8 teams with better form are the 4 above us and the 4 below - talk about big squeeze! But it shows we can't afford to drop needless points against lower sides. On average, we have a slightly poorer record against the other top five teams and I don't see that changing in the matches we still have to play against them. We're suddenly looking the weakest side in the play-offs so finishing sixth is a good outcome.
