Are you kidding me? Im a mikel fan but Meireles is is getting forward, coming back and linking very well with ramires. There is a reason why our tempo has been so much quicker than normal. Although he does throw the rubbish long ball occasionally

I think he has played well.

To be honest I'm quite surprised as I didn't really rate him.

Chelsea have decent central midfielders none of which stands out or has a specific playing style. They can all play the holding role or box-to-box. All Meireles really just adds is depth. No new dimension.

im not saying he's playing badly, he played quite well, but i just don't see what he brings to the side that mikel doesn't, just saying.

If this was Josh we were talking about doing what Meireles is doing today, he'd be called a god. Give credit where its due i say
