Anyone agree with me on Kevin Pietersen that he appears to be the most arrogant person in the cricket world??
I heard his commentary a few months back and he annoyed the hell out of me..
Now hes complaining about the IPL destroying test cricket..I think the IPL is a farce.. But Pietersen wouldn't have said no to million and half that Stokes received, if he was involved in the auction himself. and we know how he wanted the ECB in the past to allow him to play in May to suit his IPL contract..
He was a great talent..But where ever he goes he causes unrest!..

KP world class player who was not treated well by England at all. He had a fantastic innings for the mighty Quetta Gladiators last week with his knock of 86 not out. He hit 8 sixes in that game and allowed Quetta to chase 200 when at one stage required run rate was over 15. In the words of Andy Gray "Take a bow son that was sensational"

Never understood why it's such an issue when a player is arrogant. This is top level sport, some of the best sportsmen ever are arrogant. They are not on a World Peace campaign.
Like most people with a big mouth, sometimes he talks total sense and sometimes talks complete gibberish.
With his comments on IPL, I agree with his comments now, but when he was playing in the IPL, I'm sure he said that anyone that complains about IPL is jealous. So in short, I've got no issue with him opening his mouth, the only problem is he is completely contradicting himself.

I'm on about his attitude for the reason people seem to think he is innocent. "he got treat badly by England"
what utter bullcrap..
He only played for England for his own ego.

some bitter comments about ipl. jelous?

The only thing I'm 'jelous' of is your spelling mate.

KP thrives on media attention and without the ability or regular matches to earn that attention through his cricket these days, he has become a bit of a rent-a-quote for the world's sport press. not knocking him for it - it's how he earns a living and strokes his ego at the same time - but a lot of what he says is total b0ll0cks.
I have never understood this idea that people are 'jelous' of the IPL. i'm English, follow Warwickshire and watch our T20 league because my club is in it. i'm not a huge fan of the format but it's ok for the occasional night out with mates if you take it for what it is. I don't watch the IPL particularly for the same reason I don't watch the Big Bash, PSL or any of the other leagues...Warwickshire aren't in them.
but to be honest, when I have watched overseas league T20 games I can't say there's much difference in the quality of the cricket. people bragging about how great the IPL is are probably the same as those brits who bang on about the premier league...it's all about the money and the hype but in reality the English football league is no better than other leagues and the standard is probably lower than several.
the idea that IPL makes people better cricketers is also laughable. England are often knocked by overseas fans on here, who seem to forget that we won the T20 world cup before and were one bad stokes over away from being the first team ever to win it twice.

@GB,
Most true Indian cricket fans are not fan of IPL either. I think it hurts us more than to help our National cricket team! We give lot of money to foreign players who don't a deserve a penny in my view. Time for us to help domestic players and give them chances. We can also use that money for other good causes which I won't discuss on this sports website.
Back to KP, now i know for sure what a pri*^k KP is.. Glad uncle Strauss kicked him to the curb and overall ECB did the right thing against him. Hope our stupid BCCI or IPL team owners don't let him put a foot on our soil ever. They should know now for sure how ungrateful this idiot is.... He never learned his lesson that you should not bite the hand that feeds you! It's about time this South African be shown the door!

@fact taker,
thnx for the sensible comments - makes a change on here when anything related to cricket is concerned!
yr thoughts match with mine that most fans are far more knowledgeable and fair minded than the minority of idiots who post on here or cricinfo or other forums with the same petty bickering about nationality, wealth and which cricket board is the most powerful.
spirit of cricket is meant to be play hard but play fair, mutual respect and the love of the game. one reason I dislike a lot of T20 tournaments is that the promoters, in order to make money, try to bridge the gap between real cricket values and the tribal support you associate with football. does it improve cricket overall? not in my view. it serves to make a few wealthy people even wealthier, and to massage egos which dwarf the likes of KP and his low level narcissism.
