Mourinho seems to go up and down in my estimation, I liked him when he first came to England and also when he came back and Chelsea won the league but last season soured things. Also earlier this season when he openly criticised players but since things have been going better at United I've started liking him again. The pressure got to him with things not working and it didn't endear me to him but fair play for turning it around, he's proving he can put in the hard yards too and not just inherit a team.
But anyway the point of this article isn't to discuss my level of like for Mourinho, it's about his interview discussing Ranieri, which I thought showed a lot of class. I really liked the thought he had to put CR on his shirt, it was a nice touch and he's definitely climbed a few rungs with that gesture. Fair play Jose

ps good luck in the final, I'm sure a lot of people want Southampton to win but I actually don't for some unexplained reason
Nice words from Mourinho

Mourinho was saying was clearly from experience. He felt genuine sympathy, as he'd been there. But it was amplified in terms of what Ranieri experienced.
Jose does come across as disingenuous, given how he'd treated Ranieri in the past though imo

I know they have history but I genuinely think that's long gone and there is a lot of affection between the two of them nowadays. I felt he was sincere anyway.

Used to like him,but lost all respect for him over that business with the lady physio,Eva I think.
He was abusive and incredibly arrogant and totally in the wrong.Never i believe apologised, and handled the whole situation wrong.
Am sure he admires CR ,but wouldn't trust him.

Football 'behind the scenes' is a nasty business. Mourinho and Conte both blame the players, I agree. Wages thieves that cost a good man who made history with them a dignified exit.
Results dictate everything and they aint doing so good but the manner of Ranieris sacking is distasteful, I hate the Leicester players for not performing or having the courage to admit their faults. For Leicester fans I hope they stay up but for those players, i hope they go down.

Can't argue with that.

Jose is so so clever. It was obviously an old Cristiano Ronaldo left over top from back in the day...

Of course Jose is going to say what he said though, as a way of proving his point regarding his final season at Chelsea

That would be plausible if United still had the same kit and shirt sponsor. Quite clearly it wasn't an old Ronaldo shirt.
