How long til we see...

Corporate sponsorship ruining football. Manchester Unilever?

Manchester citi-bank. Tottentesco. Liverpool.

The EPL whoored itself out for cash a long long time a go. We saw Cardiff try something a long those lines. Stadiums are sponsored in corporate name.

How long til our teams? Es would be salivating at the prospect of striking up a rename deal so he could then go and blow 200m on Troy Deeney.

It is scary what happened to RB Salzburg, bought by red bull, they changed the kit colours, badge, club name and stadium name almost immediately

I think RedBull want to come in and buy an English club but tbh I can't see any fans allowing them to do it

Red bull salzburg were a corporate team long before red bull in fairness... Known as Casino Salzburg and other names with sponsorship involved too

I forgot about those teams. I suspect it will not be long before it creeps into the EPL, they've sold out to everything else, so this is the last hurdle.

I will be done with premier league football at this point.

Fans really don't have a say in the running of football clubs. They're nothing short of cash cows!

I think what happened at Hull regarding 'the Tigers' shows fan power is still relevant

I reckon it's fairly certain that we'll start to see more teams with corporate names. Probably won't start at the very upper echelons, but if someone like Red Bull can't cite the example of Salzburg and Leipzig both playing on the champions league I could quite easily see a lower league team in financial trouble accepting the bait. I've seen threads on here where Leeds fans have been talking about how far they would go if RB came in with an offer

Red Bull Salzburg.

And Red Bull Leipzig, and of course MK Dons were/are just a re-brand.

I'd hate for it to become common place but i'd still love football

Well arsenal fans are already basing sucess on profit margins not actually winning games. Wenger know top 4 is a trophy because it increases revenue.
