New defenders

For me the defence is the first priority. I don't care if we don't buy an attacker. We have to go for pace and power at the back. A lot of times in the last 7 years we have been bullied. We need some nasty feckers. The likes of Lucas, Mignolet, Moreno are very weak physical and also mentally.

Like Fergy said "Attack wins you games, defence wins you titles"

We have to go for one of the following players.
Alessio Romagnoli
Benjamin Mendy
Aymeric Laporte
Jose Maria Gimenez
Niklas Suele
Jonathan Tah
Antonio Rudiger

Van Dijk is a must, whatever the price.

He is the type of player that makes those around him perform to a higher level as well as being very classy himself.

Süle and Giminez

We do need better defenders but part of the problem is for injury or whatever reason, we haven't been able to play a consistent back four so they can't get used to each other. Add in the changing of Karius and Mignolet and it's no surprise they look so shambolic at times.

Saw earlier that Lovren and Matip have played just 12 games together in all comps this season which is nothing considering they're our first choice CB's. Of those 12 games we've won 6, drawn 5 and lost 1.

Sule has gone to Bayern.

I think Liverpool would struggle to sign most of those defenders. Especially with a lot of the biggest clubs in need of defenders.

Matip has looked a good signing, however, without being the most coveted so Klopp could well find some good defenders in a similar fashion.

Sule looked slow to me. Van Dijk or Tah will do for me.

Nah we need to go all out for Van Dijk.

Entering peak age, physical powerhouse and a leader.

If we can't get him then we need someone like that. Quick, strong, a lot of football behind them and leadership qualities.

We have enough young players. We need some experience and quality.

I agree we should focus on defence in the summer though, whether that's actual defenders and midfielders who help protect the defence better.

Last summer we spent £60m on 2 attacking players and a minimal amount on the rest. They have both done well, but this summer it needs to be the other way round. Our biggest early deals need to be defensive players. We can pay for a new attacker by selling Sturridge.

Really? Which sensible club will take a past it, injury prone player off you?

I will spunk continuously for 2 days straight if we sign Van Dijk.

Who said the club had to be sensible?

If you really think we won't be able to sell Sturridge then you must have ignored football transfers your whole life.

Sturridge will claim he has never been injured as much as its been claimed and will do a video in the gym doing nothing football related to prove his fitness for his next club.
