Rooney links
Jose asks his own questions to get the PC under way; "So shall I do the questions then? Wayne Rooney to Everton?
“Okay. I only can say that in the final, with the result 2-2, with the team in difficulty, with the team possibly going to play 40 more minutes, Rooney was ready to go onto the pitch.
“So he’s not a player you play in the last minute, to give hm a gift to be in a wining final, he’s a player you trust and you are going to play, with making probably your crucial change.
“So, until the end of the season, 100 per cent he is with us. Next season, I would like him to be with us, but he is always a player who is always very important, but I cannot say [100 per cent he will be at United]."
Mourinho says that despite the links, Rooney is still available for selection like normal.
“He is selected for tomorrow with possibilities to play – to start or to be on the bench.
“So, since the moment he decided to stay and help the team and to fight for the team, he is an important player for us, and I think by giving you these two little – or big tales - I’m telling you all the talk about Everton makes no sense."
Zlatan expected to stay;
“I see him staying with us, because the initial agreement was to come for us for one year, plus us to have the option for a second.
“So I see him staying with us after an amazing, successful first season. So I think Zlatan will be fundamental in the second year of this team.
“My feeling is that he;s really proud of himself, very proud of his success and his situation, so I see him staying with us."
Shaw to be involved this weekend;
"Luke Shaw is selected for tomorrow, so you won’t need to have the guys at the Lowry taking pictures of the players, to see which ones are on the list."
Changing perceptions
“I think Manchester United knows I’m not the monster people thought I was.
“I’m not such an arrogant guy and not such a difficult guy to work with.
“Until now, no-one runs away when I arrive at the training ground, so I think the people are quite happy to have me around and work with me."
Jose very happy in current role
“So I think I am better than you think, people is quite happy to have me around and to work with me, the relation with the players is very good.
“With my owners and my board, the relation I don’t think is just professional, it’s also a relation of trust and a relation that goes further than the contract, the manager, the owner, the board, so I’m happy.
“My feeling is everyone is happy, but obviously my contract is three years, not seven or eight months, and I want evolution and improvement."
More on Luke Shaw
“Luke is working hard, he’s trying to improve, he improved by the physical point of view I can say that by good dedication, specific work and now he needs some opportunities to feel alive, he needs minutes on the pitch to show evolution is not physical but globally because a player is not just a better physical condition."
Cup win offers no security
“The impact that the final can have on my future, I think no impact, I think it’s just a story that had a happy end and it’s one thing less to be worried with, finished. League Cup finished.
“So now we have the most crazy calendar fixtures that somebody can have but it’s for good reasons. This weekend is Bournemouth and we have to try and win the match."
On Bournemouth
“They are a very tricky, dangerous team, with quality and ambition, who are not afraid to play.
“They normally try to win matches and try not to draw."
Jose also confirmed that Henrikh Mkhitaryan is the only absentee for United tomorrow.
Phil Jones is ready to return to action after overcoming his problem.

I actually think pogba was an ed signing rather than a Jose signing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I doubt that. Strong rumours Jose wanted him at Chelsea but Roman wouldn't cough up.

But that doesn't suit Baz's agenda that Pogba was a vanity signing bought for his commercial appeal.

No agenda of the sort, but now that you mention it, it makes sense.

I don't Pogba was a Woodward signing but Giggs and Shaw almost certainly had a hand in it.

It's no surprise we wanted Pogba. He at the time of signing was and still is the most highly rated young Cm in the game

The Pogba signing made sense both on the field and off it.

It was a signing that will probably only become superb in a few seasons. Then Baz might cheer up

At present Blind is a better LB than Shaw.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Blind does some things better than Shaw but he struggles against quick powerful wingers. At their best I'd have Shaw over Blind at LB any day.
--
Blind definately better. Shaw a limited footballer, although I'd marginally give him the edge defensively, due to physicality only, blind is better in every other area. Not even close.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We seriously need to get Blind back to playing DCM. Remember, that's what he was before LVG deputised him at LB for the Holland squad. He's been stuck out there for years, then at CB with us. He needs to get a shot at a Carrick type of role for a run of matches (if he doesn't hurt us doing that). Shaw needs to get the same chance at LB, I think that'll sort out a few things.

He wasn't that good there for Van Gaal, though.
He played better in defence.
