04/03/17 Anfield, 17.30 KO
Mignolet; Clyne, Matip, Klavan, Milner; Wijnaldum, Can; Lallana, Coutinho, Mane; Firmino
Head-to-head
Liverpool's only league win in their last nine home games against Arsenal was a 5-1 victory in February 2014 (D5, L3).
The Reds have kept just two clean sheets in the last 22 league meetings, and none in the last 10 at Anfield.
This fixture has produced 16 goals in the 90th minute or later in the Premier League - a competition record.
Liverpool could become the first team to do five Premier League doubles against Arsenal.
Liverpool
The Reds have only managed two wins in 12 games in all competitions in 2017.
But they are unbeaten in all 12 league matches this season against opponents currently in the top half of the table (W7, D5).
Liverpool have earned an unrivalled 16 points from matches against the other teams currently in the top six. Arsenal, with five points, have the worst record.
They could keep consecutive home clean sheets in the league for the first time since December 2014.
Jurgen Klopp has exactly the same record as Liverpool manager after 56 league games as Brendan Rodgers: 27 wins, 16 draws and 13 defeats.
James Milner has not lost any of the 46 Premier League matches in which he has scored (W37, D9), a joint-competition record with Darius Vassell (W36, D10).
Arsenal
Arsenal have lost four of their last 10 Premier League matches after only losing four of the previous 35.
The Gunners have won only one of their last five away matches in the league (D1, L3), and kept one clean sheet in the last eight.
However, they have scored 28 goals in 12 away fixtures so far this season.
Alexis Sanchez has been directly involved in 25 league goals this season (17 goals, 8 assists), four more than any other player, but he has only one goal against the current top six.

thought wij would be a decent squad signing. But he's been brilliant, and popping up with some big goals recently. Thank god we got him and not sissoko 😂

I'm very happy with Wij. Big game player. Scored the winner at City and in the draw vs. Chelsea. I in fact wanted Wij ahead of Sissoko mainly for Wij goals.

Just watched the game in an Arsenal boozer. Loved every minute of it. Celebrated all evening and not one challenge from the gooners

Has anyone seen Rooney post match interview talking about the stamp on Ibra? He said he was there and saw it. He lied. He he was close but didn't see it because he was facing the other way.

I think Klopp laid into him and Can today because vs Lesta they went missing, thought we'd miss Hendo today too but they've clearly got it from Klopp because both stepped up.
That was probably the first time i've seen Wijnaldum take responsibility almost every time since joining usually hes timid and shifts responsibility at first opportunity, albeit he works hard and is decent on the ball i think sometimes he lacked confidence. So different today and Can was a different animal to what hes been recently too.
Hopefully both keep it up and Hendo has a fight to get back in.

Klopp's beard is turning on and off like a squid in the interview. Weird.

This was the worse Arsenal side we've faced. Their worse midfield for sure. So I still think we need to improve in many areas. A better keeper would have stopped their goal. A GK, LB, CB needed. DM is the most important and key area we need to improve. We also need a new striker. We are not miles away from Chelsea but we need leaders and match winners.
