I hate spurs like any other gooner and am neutral towards pool. I am also at the stage in my life where I am not blinkered by my support of arsenal to a point where I can't appreciate good play/managers just because they manage rivals.
Looking at how Spurs and pool press, I have to say I admire it. There is an obvious tactical knowledge of what to do and how. Does not always work, but pool yesterday and spurs in the 30 mins I have watched today, are having success with it.
Just another reason why I feel Wenger is past it. We look a shambles is all 3 thirds of the pitch. No real identity. I am not one who thinks we still play beautiful football. We are slow and turgid normally with the odd game when it all just falls into place but we have few of those days every season.
Time for a change as I am so tired of watching the same old crap from arsenal every season.
Spurs and Liverpool

Arsenal as a team are lazy they dont work hard enough its been like that for a while. Whether that is a result of the manager asking them play like this or the players just cant be bothered either way its the managers fault he picks the players and it is quite obvious that he doesnt discipline players for their poor performances more often than not the player will play absolute garbage one week and he will be assured of a starting place next week. I dont like to single out indiviuals but a good example is Iwobi hes been terrible for a long time now but he plays every week. I just dont understand what he sees in some of these players.

Well they've all moved on tactically. Wenger is stuck in the past, and too arrogant to change his approach based on who we play. We're desperate for a new approach. We're badly falling behind

AFC have looked dire since 2005.
Been very lucky with a lot of their games since the undeserved FA cup that year + they have had the benefit of the best manager EVER at getting the best out of average players. Mr Wenger is supreme at getting his team working confidently.
How they have gotten away with top four finishes so consistently with such poor squads is nothing short of miraculous. THFC, for example, have had better starting XIs for at least 8 of the last 12 seasons. But the league positions would suggest otherwise.
If Mr Wenger goes without a proper succession being worked, then AFC will have a greater, and longer, mid term struggle than MUFC are enduring post SAF.

It works against teams who play out from the back like Everton tried woefully today but those who just lump it forward you can't play that way and considering around what 60 % of the league do that against us you need another plan.
Arsenal used to have a style under Wenger, its hard to see that now not even sure its there anymore. Yesterday he clearly set up to go long at every opportunity from the back to Giroud, sure why not teams have shown it works against us however it just went to highlight they've lost their identity they would have played to their strengths in the past.

The way arsenal play is good for winning against the smaller sides. When you come up against the quality sides you need the high press.

Arsenal have trousered around an extra half a dozen points through dodgy refereeing this season, imagine where they would be if all those lucky decisions had been given correctly instead.
Only Pool have enjoyed more luck with refereeing decisions.
