Looks like our season is as good as over.

As soon as I saw the line up on Saturday it seemed the writing was on the wall.

For such a pivotal game I can't for the life of me understand why we started with 3 defensive midfielders plus a single striker who's played most of his career on the wing. Throw into the mix a winger who's more akin to a headless chicken and it seemed like an early capitulation from Pulis.

No doubt folks will come on here and say "but we're 8th". Well you're kidding yourselves if you think that's where we'll finish.

Am I the only person who thinks that Pulis is actually aiming for mediocrity? My gut feeling is that he doesn't want to become a victim of his own success. If we finished 7th this season, failure to finish in the top half next season would put his position in jeopardy.

Where's the ambition FFS?!

Pulisaurus,
Even if we do coast in, it will still have been a decent season. You say Pulis is aiming for mediocrity but that is unfair. He, like the fans, has been disappointed with our transfer activity. He has made the best of those we have signed and improved them as players.

Give the guy a break. If we were down with the dead men you'd be the first one on his case.

Don't think we'll be 8th for long though Aries.
It's been a nice run to get where we are today but I now reckon that's it, job done and we'll start sliding down the table finishing around 14/15th.

We just haven't got the depth or quality of the squad and I have my doubts if that issue will be properly addressed come the summer window.
