You know nothing about football.

Go home now Mr Glick because you know nothing about running a football club, sell the club before you ruin it.

Do you honestly think gse are interested in DCFC.
NO
They are only interested in taking as much money as they possibly can.(Legally)

Well, to be fair, posters like MILF have posted evidence that GSE aren't extracting/siphoning money from the club. Rather, I think GSE are reluctant to invest which is another matter entirely.

I've always believed, like Iwaslevel, that GSE bought Derby for the wrong reasons (or the right reasons if you're in business ), namely to get us back up to the PL and sell on for a quick profit. They bought us in Jan 2008 before the economy really nosedived and gambled on Paul Jewell, proven at Bradford/Wigan, at getting us back up first time of asking.

I think they (Andy Appleby) borrowed money off these investors and he & GSE will be ruined unless they can sell Derby for what they received and then some. The only offer has been from Peter Gadsby.

I don't think GSE realised what a money-pit English football can be, in terms of wages, their gamble on Jewell was funded by the second parachute payment and ended up being wasted on pay-offs for Albrechtsen & the loan fees for Kazmierczak & Ellington.

For us, Derby is a passion; for GSE, cold-hearted business which stops at the balance sheet.

Bob your post sums it up perfectly. I've never been pro-GSE, despite what wassa may think, in fact I first coined the name "Tom Slick" ...however they are NOT ripping off the club (there is nothing to rip off!) they are just as you put it reluctant to invest *further*. They HAVE invested, the figures clearly show this...and not as loans, but as share capital...not something someone intent on "ripping us off" would do!

People may not be happy with the amount of money spent, but just spending ONE MILLION POUNDS on shackell was something they didn't HAVE to do, if they were "ripping us off" they'd have banked the million, and we'd have had to make do with riggott!

good post, most of the teams in our league are missing some peices in their jigsaw, hence the CC being unbelievably entertaining- only 2 teams have a full complete squad

Not ripping us off???
I would have thought it was pretty obvious that all the board members, investors, their guests and families who come to matches, board meetings and functions are not paying for all their travel out there own pockets.
There are 3 or 4 families living over here running the club.
All board members travelling to all matches, board meetings, club functions etc, and everything is on expences.
Then there are the enormous salaries.
These are not locals, and all are taking the money out of the club.
There's plenty of them and boy they don’t come cheap,

What would you do MILFY?

Sell the club for a loss and go back to the US bankrupt or run the club within its means and receive a very nice salary to take you into retirement (or find a mug to buy it) whichever comes first.

Capt spells it out for you and it is the most logical reason for why the club is in the position we are.

Sadly we need to get used to it because the Owers will happily lose as much face as necessary so long as their mortgages, pensions and salaries are paid each month.
