4 Players that would

change the squad dynamics and give us much needed squad depth.

Now I know most will disagree and others will say they are unrealistic targets or it will cost too much money etc. Here are 4 players in MY opinion that we should be looking to sign this summer.

1. Joe Hart
2. Virgil Van Dijk

A lot has been said about these two already. Two class players that on their day can be match winners. Wages and transfer fee will be a problem. We lack leaders in this squad and Joe Hart is a much needed vocal leader on the pitch.

3. Julian Brandt

He looks the real deal for his age (20). His CL performances this season have been fantastic. If you haven't already watched his performance against A.Madrid go watch it. He is young pacey winger that works hard and presses and wins the ball well. He is a Klopp type of player that can he can work and develop with.

4. Jamie Vardy

We need a striker. Sturridge will be off in the summer. Ings is unfortunately at this stage cannot be relied upon and is a bonus. We need someone who wants to play CL football (if we get it). Vardy works incredibly hard for the team. His pace and willing to run through on goal beating the offside trap is something we need upfront as we only have Mane that does that. If he is out we all know what happens. Everyone comes short to receive the ball. Vardy would be another pacey outlet. Another positive he drifts into channels and works well linking up with people. I think he would help someone like Firmino up in the front 3 who just doesn't possess the raw pace.

When we play teams at home and we know they are going to defend with 10 men behind the ball. How great would it be to drop Couthino into the mf and have a front three of Firmino Vardy Mane. The interchange and pace up top would pose a more attacking threat.

Vardy is 30 years old now and may see this as the last opportunity to play for a bigger club, play CL football and stay in the England squad. His transfer fee would be hefty for a player of his age. We need a 20 plus league goals a season man and for price and experience in the PL I really don't know who else would want to come to us.

Bonus players if available:

Oxlade Chamberlain & Serge Gnabry (I really think Klopp can work with them and make them outstanding players for us like he has done with Lallana and Wijnaldum. They would add squad depth that we need only thing I would worry is their injury record.)

Not that it would ever happen but Id love the club to make a huge statement of intent.

I'd pay Arsenal and City what the wanted for Sanchez and Aguero and give them the wages they wanted. They are complete game changers and would easily add 30-40 goal a season to the team.

Every man and their dog can see that barring a miracle, both will be at different clubs next season. So why not our club?

I'd then bring in Joe Hart and VDV to shore up the defence.

I'd say Sanchez and Aguero alone would put us in with a great shout of challenging and even winning the league. Adding VDV and Hart along with them would guarantee it.

But hey, its all just a deluded pipe dream as FSG wont spend the money or pay the wages.

Who will buy Sturridge, a striker who never plays?

Lots of your fellow blues would take him....

Maybe you just put your bitterness ahead of logic!?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The obvious replacement for Lukaku for when he leaves in the summer

Perhaps a swap deal is on the cards?

Lots of your fellow blues it seems

It seems you are going to need a striker with lower ambitions anyway!

GK depends on how Klopp sees things imo. Is he confident in Karius? If he is, he should just give him the minutes he needs and try to manage the media better.

He's been doing it with Can & Lallana lately, talking about how they did things different to the tactical instructions he gave them or how they approached a certain phase/play in the game differently without actually throwing them under the bus.

CB is a must. VVD couldnt be on massive wages at Southampton and we have an okish relationship with them. Should go all out for this signing.

DM - Henderson has performed to a good standard but if we consider what his strengths are, he should definitely be moved forward in midfield. Get someone who is much more progressive with his passing and also has better positioning. Dahoud would be nice. Paredes as well but he's settled in a nice Roma side that is doing better than us in recent times but im sure we can tempt him with wages.

LB - Milner has a utility man strengthens our squad much more than him playing LB week in week out. The most perfect reason on why we need a LB.

Agree with the first three, Chandler, not though with Vardy. He's too old, that dive he took from Nasri yesterday had me looking to see where the sniper was, as Vardy had clearly been shot, hadn't he?
According to the Exho, Brandt is on his way to to Beyern. Sad if true.

Wouldn't surprise me Jimmy, mate of mine lives in Germany and said there was a bit of criticism within the sports press over there that Sane (consider the great prospect apparently) was allowed to leave for the EPL.

The implicit criticism was that Bayern should have taken such an exceptional German talent. Would they let it happen twice in two seasons?

Agree with Hart. He's after getting back to a PL club, has resigned himself to the fact his City career is over, has plenty to prove and needs to keep his England no1 place. Schmeichel at Leicester might be a good shout as well.

VVD - Meh I'm not sure on this one. We signed Lovren from Southampton on the back of a few good performances. It's taken him a while to get going. Even now he's not 100%.

Haven't seen much of this Brandt lad. We do need a DM quick sharp.

Totally disgree on Vardy, just no

If we get CL next season we need to sign players that are proven, as opposed to 19-20yo prospects who might come good in a season or two. We need to strengthen the depth in the squad as well. I think Sturridge is gone this summer. We need 2 or 3 players who accept they're not going to start but can come off the bench, or are used when rotating the first 11, and can perform.
