Is this now a pandemic?

Agree with the bookies but there wouldn't be the supply if there wasn't the demand and Pakistan cricket seems to be the biggest market

Am not sure it is in reality but yeah Pakistan players seem to be always in headlines recently
As I said I am not defending Pakistan as any one doing it should be banned
I do think PCB is weak and they don't look after their players which makes the money more enticing
But also their weakness means that they are easy targets
What I mean here is that, for example, India are every powerful in world cricket so for me there is a reluctance to make any waves there in the same way. Even with the whole terrorism and attacks angle India would not ever be playing in India

I get your argument about the players not being paid enough by the PCB. Pakistan is a huge cricket nation, so no doubt that there is money there but I guess we have the issue with the corruption within the PCB
I think the terrorism argument is for another thread however I don't agree with your argument about terrorism in India., India doesn't have the huge number of terrorist attacks that Pakistan do and never has a cricket team been attacked, which was the tipping point

I hung around with ex Pakistan players back in the day, as well as Aussie and South African, and Pakistani players are paid a pittance in the main. With such short careers and poverty the temptation has to be greater for them. No excuse but hope you see what I mean
Weirdly the emphasis on giving opportunities to all players rather than those with wealthy backgrounds has given likes of Aamir a chance to play but also temptation to donwhat he did
Terrorism angle is a longer discussion I agree. The attempt on the team was IMO a result of those doing it knowing it will have an impact. Not sure it would in India so other targets are more high profile, if that makes sense

IPL has been fixing heaven for bookies and money laundering, as has the EPL. These billionaires buying clubs are not only doing it for love of the game

@Zlatanariyan.. It was more a joke pal and on a serious note, we Indian fans don't care much for IPL. It is just entertainment like movies and nothing more or less! We love our National team and want them to do always well. Also IPL has done more damage to us than help our team. We don't like that ungrateful foreigners like KP get millions and ignore our domestic talent for these idiots!

However I know for sure that players like Afraidi are dying to play in IPL

Mate I actually met afridi as he was playing in same league as me a few years ago, was a friend of my brothers and he would bend over and take it in his behind from an aids ridden puppy for money
