Ive always felt if Wenger goes out on his own terms then the next Arsenal Manager would be a wild card just like his predecessor. Always felt that an Eddie Howe or even a Roberto Martinez would be the kind of manager we would get in. Someone with unorthodox management abilities but with Premier league experience.
But the last few weeks have changed everything and I think the Board and Garzadis have been forced to actually work for once rather than leave everything to Wenger. I wouldnt be surprised if Garzadis is talking to the agents of potential managers as we speak.
We are in united post Moyes territory. The pressure is on and we maybe forced to choose what looks like the best manager on the market. United stole LVG ahead of Spurs so which big name will we bring in?
I would be shocked if Allegri is not the next Arsenal manager next season.Thats the easy choice for the board to make and this will help keep Sanchez aswell.

I would have thought that the Arsenal board would be looking at candidates like Manuel Pelegrini or even Diego Simeone?

You could do a lot worse than Tony Pulis. Won't be a popular choice with the football snobs, but would probably be a better choice than most big names that get bandied about.

I think it's quite disrespectful to see Wenger being slated as much as he has. The effort he will have given to that club over the last 20 odd years combined with his achievements and working in difficult circumstances as well for a good 7 or so years financially as well and he still made Arsenal as good as they are.
Yes, I'd agree now would be time for Arsenal to make a change, think Wenger has been there a bit too long now as ridiculous as that sounds and a fresh approach would do nicely. But give the guy some respect rather than constantly slating him.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Wenger at Barca potentially. But think there are 1/2 others just ahead of him in the pecking order really.

pulis for manager - no thanks.
Wenger, whatever his faults, has brought a sophistication and intelligence to Arsenal that for me at least is worth more than trophies. I entirely agree the atmosphere at the club is toxic, but we need to maintain our character.
