Alexis Swap?

Evening all,

With the numerous reports looming that Alexis is off to Stamford Bridge, would you Arsenal fans take Pedro as a straight swap? Equally adept on both flanks as well as a lone striker, Pedro has more versatility and efficiency than Arsenal's Chilean and comes with less baggage too. I think it would be a great deal for Arsenal. Who agrees?

he's gone, why would he stay at arsenal?

He's staying no question about that. There are lots of reasons to stay at Arsenal.

Yeah Sanches was misquoted. He apparently said a city not the city. His quotes were lost in translation........

Also, he said that he is happy to see his contract out at Arsenal.

"I doubt there is anyone at Arsenal with the balls of Levy though. But you simply just tell Chelsea and Sanchez -no."

It's nothing to do with Levy and his balls. Silly to believe Wenger, who's been managing Arsenal for 20 years, is too scared to say no.

He'll make a business & footballing decision, like he did with RvP, Ashley Cole and co, whether it's in our best interests to sell to Chelsea or abroad.

If it's a case of 50m to Chelsea or 20m to Juventus, he can go across London with a thanks and farewell.

You have invented that £30 million differential but let's agree to assume Juventus would pay less than Chelsea.

There are still other financial costs to Arsenal in losing him to Chelsea. Devaluing your brand whilst strengthening Chelsea's. You comfortably finished ahead of Chelsea last season. Why make it easier for them to finish ahead you next? There are financial costs to that too.

It simply doesn't make sense to strengthen a league rival. Only do it as last case resort.
