I can't believe what I've just heard. As the Swansea and Middlesbrough players were lining up in the tunnel awaiting their venture on to the pitch the pre-match overtures were played out over the public address system. Then there was a short burst played out of an old-style air raid siren giving the 'take cover' directive.

In a city that probably remains sensitive in some quarters with distinct knowledge that it was badly damaged in WW2, and with all the nutters about these days, is this all really necessary??
